I want CPU vs CPU. Or CPU vs Human, unless that's how they indicate players as red vs blue. (Which I doubt is the case)

At least give me what the CPU would do as I probably would play a couple CPU games.

There were animations added in other areas as well. I don't think he meant only 500 animations were added and they were only for driving in the lane... Cuz if that's the case you're right that is a shame lol.

Seems odd they haven't just blatantly stated how much they've added. I don't mind because it does look decent, but it's obvious more could never hurt this game. They just really need to focus on getting more signature styles if they ever want players to act/look different while controlling.

Btw, if anyone notice the contact on LeBron's dunk? He gets a forearm in the side and it looks more like a natural collision vs. a regular dunk on animation.

And SIM is good as a base, but don't try and tell everyone that's the only way to play. Everyone has their own opinion, and yes, that includes what people would consider SIM.

I've been playing sports games for 10 years and not once did I not play around with the settings and sliders. It's all about options and customization. Would you also like it if they only made the game playable in 12minute quarters? Because that sounds pretty sim to me. What about if they also made it so if a player busted his knee it would take 1 year before you were allowed to play with him again virtually.

I'm all about that SIM. But having options is something we deserve and in my opinion, it's the most realistic way to ensure everyone gets to enjoy the game we all play and love.

NBA 2K "its in the game."
I'm referring to sliders of course.

It's not that I'm against sliders or customization. It's the fact that with all the things added to the game in order to have play and stats that resembles anything SIM I have to tweak and constantly be adjusting sliders. The game should be set by default to give me the most realistic style of play out of the box. Then if they want to add sliders to give people the option to deviate from the most realistic style of play so be it. I think sliders are why developers are content with shipping games like they are out of the box. If I don't have to choose great. If I have to choose between the most accurate representation or sliders so other can play a brand of basketball other than SIM than I'll pass on the sliders.

When I say I don't understand why a game needs sliders. I mean I don't understand why a game needs sliders to give to me the best simulation possible. Since that's all I here the gaming world take about from fans to reviewers to developers I assume that's the mission is to make the best SIM game possible. Sliders IMO are getting in the way of that mission.

+Court Spacing looks great not crowded
+Foot Planting
+Harden Drive
+ Contests look good
+looks fluid and a good pace . Really smooth
+ player faces look pretty detailed (imperfections )
+ waiters reach after getting beat off dribble
+ Kyrie's active defensive stance on Beverly
+Lebrons jumper was very smooth
+every time players collide/touch there's a reaction !
+Player Chatter
+Bigs fighting for position
+Jerseys look good
+Momentum catches , Shots, Contests

- Waiters should have picked up Harden faster on D
-saw Harden's leg clip through Dwight's leg on D
-refs look bland
-lack of off ball movement (screens , cuts )
-Lebron Celebrating early ?
- bigs barely moved at all unless to contest a shot

Overall it doesn't even look like an NBA live game but it looks good and smoother than I thought. They really worked on fundamentals. Hopefully the A.I will attack us like Harden did at the rim. I give the videos 8/10 . As far as graphics looking ps3/360 I don't see that all. The zoomed in moments look exactly like the trailer. I think it's the broadcast view + youtube compression that's throwing people off. You can clearly see who is who unlike last year lol

Looks like a modern version of Live 10 - I like the clips... a lot.

There will be game levels and honestly I wouldn't mind a arcade and SIM option for gamers. I think people undervalue the act that not having the game tuned to be sim out of the box is the reason why SIM gamers struggle to get a solid SIM product every year.
I call it like I see it. I would never call you dumb but your points on this issue are plain dumb. You want to force gamers into two boxes at best (casual and sim) instead of providing them with an option to customize the game to their liking.

With Madden 15 & EA UFC being way better than I anticipated and couple that with what I've seen with Nba Live up to this point, I'm gonna give this team the benefit of the doubt.

I'd rather them spend a few more weeks fine-tuning/tweaking things than to push out a buggy unfinished mess.

you'd be surprised what an extra month of development time can do for a sports game. I support any developer that pushes for a delay to work out the kinks and get it working how they wanted it too. I think the gameplay looks promising.

I don't think all hope is lost, but the outlook is bleak. Hopefully they can pull it together because I really do want to see Live make a comeback.

the players who have the ball look the nicest in these vids. The players without the ball look a little stiff, but again, this is light years better than 14 in every sense of the word. When Live 10 was made, I just wanted them to use that engine and tweak it year after year, and I think we're getting to that point again where it will be as fun as Live 10 again, if not, more fun. Will be buying on day1. Good for them delaying it. Delaying can only bring improvements.

Looks like you don't understand what's going on here, they added 500 animations for driving alone, who told you they didn't add animations in others departements of the game??
also a quick look at the clips/trailer clearly show new animations for defense, contest, jumpost and all please think a bit before posting next time

It is very telling that they've waited this long to release any footage, and still only give us three 15 second clips (which are underwhelming to say the least). I really don't see how they could possibly be making any big improvements in 3 weeks.

You'd be surprised what that extra time can do for a big crew

What are you planning to tweak and/or add to the game with additional dev time?

Sean: We'll be fine-tuning aspects of control and responsiveness, animation quality, player AI, presentation, and game balance.
That is what they are plan on improving. My take is everything is not playing as it should be when it should be or flowing as we would expect. So instead of the immediate backlash to patch they will try to patch/fix for release.

They should just delay it to next year....

I'm sure they can tighten up a few things, but to me there is still a pretty big gap visually between this game and 'the competitor'. I would assume that kind of work requires a significant amount of time. It's pretty tough to tell where they are as far as gameplay, since we get such a limited glimpse.

I don't have an issue with how the game looks..

You either love or hate Lives art syle...and I don't mind it...They get a lot of little things right that make up for some of the rough spots. I just hope they didnt take away that "pop" that Live has....what we've seen so far doesn't look as vibrant as past Lives...but we'll see.

The clips really do remind me of Live 10, which is a good thing...but I was definitely not impressed overall. I'll assume a lot of my issues are because it's purposely trying to showcase some things for now.

EA has been making basketball games for 25 years and people are hoping they can make a new gen game look and feel like a game they made 5 years ago on a previous gen?? Just sad man. Live fans deserve better. I
