VC did a HELL of a job in 1 year!!!
Graphics are better than 2k8, but not as good as 2k7.. BUT OVERALL, the game is smooth and I love the pitching and hitting. I have no doubts that once I get the game and play on the next highest difficulty.. I will be in baseball gaming heaven.
I don't care about the goofy stuff.. I just want to have fun and with this demo, I'm having fun.

I know it's only a demo and I hate to break up the party but this game is SOOOOOOO BORRINGGGG! (for the record , I thought The Show was pretty boring last year too).
Maybe it's me, but I can't just get into it. What would 9 innings do to me in the full retail version when I'm getting bored with 3 innings. Got to say the presentation is excellent, and 2k did a great job this year in all it's sports games w/ presentation , especially NBA2K9.
Maybe I'll pick it up when it' goes down to $19.99 later in the summer.

What you said is concrete fact. The back of the box on Sony games will advertise what resolutions it will do native. MSFT on the other hand, puts it on every box, cause it can upscale. And they are in essence BSing. Or should at least asterisk it with "up-scaled".
Because as a PC gamer, when you say what it is, we are used to it being what it really is. Not "up-scaling".

oh wow i dont think i ever want to see a walk off hit ever again in this game seriously. Ryan Howard gets a walk off hit then it just shows him walking back to the dugout liek he just got out and while he was walking his head was flopping left and right....HOW EXCITING

I have to say that I'm impressed. FYI, the last baseball game I played was MLB 2k5...not counting the demos from the past couple of years of this series.
I really enjoy the pitching. I really like how they utilize the right stick on offense and for pitching. It feels great and seems to be pretty damn fluid.
I just had a dandy of a game, winning 8-7 as the Rays. I did hit a couple home runs (Burrell crushed one to left-center) but I did see a good variety of hits. The only things I didn't see was, when I was hitting, seeing balls get through the infield. Then again, I bet that had something to do with the left stick. I would either push it up or not use it at all.
The presentation was fantastic, I can only imagine how good it will be when highlights are added in. The real-time gaming was superb and made the game seem very real, I like how the game cuts out after each half-inning and then comes back. Great sense of realism there.
I will say that the defensive controls felt a bit clunky. Having to press "A" to switch players is a bit of a hassle and doesn't help to create fluid gameplay. But I guess when I think about it, how else would I want them to do it? When it changed automatically, I sometimes get confused and start running in the wrong direction with my player because I thought I was going to be controlling someone else.
I'm happy enough with the gameplay, that was presented in the demo, I just hope they delivered with the franchise. As that's all I'll pretty much be playing anyways.
Random question, is Fantasy Draft in?

I assume there is an option to hit and pitch with button controls, the old-fashioned way, because I'm not a fan of the stick.

By the way, I don't play online so I only have a silver account. But if you create a new silver account, you get a trial gold membership. That's how I was able to download the demo. I love sticking it to the man.
