wow. from what i see it every single one of you dislike the game so far.
Don't you guys realize how crummy last years game was, and how much of an improvement it is this year? It was 2k baseball's rebuilding year, they are starting in a new direction with the animations, the announcers, the real time atmosphere, I mean give them a break.
It's only gonna get better. All that matters is its a solid baseball game. Better than last years, I'll be getting it. And if there are things I don't like about it, that is what the 2k10 Wishlist forum will be used for.

Is there a way to pre-load throws? Seems like I have to catch a ball before I can start the meter to throw it again which cause a delay in the action. It's pretty much throw wait for the catch then do the throw meter then finally animation to throw again...

I liked what I saw for the most part on the demo. I think with the community tweaking some things around and taking some things off that annoy me, like that "very early swing" arcade feedback I think it can be a good game.
I know it's not "the show", which I have never played because I have a 360....but it's what we haveand I think it is better than last year.
The other thing I am hoping is that they said the worked a lot on the franchise aspect of the game and if that is real solid then all the other little things I can over look.
Baserunning sucks in the demo since they dont tell you how to do it.

Well since all I have is the Xbox, I think this game was leaps and bounds better. I think this game will be fun. So quit all you haters. 2k8 was garbage to this game.

Well, just got done playing a couple games, so here we go...
Obvious, but gotta say it - I love the announcing. I don't know how well it would hold up through hours of gameplay, but I'm very impressed thus far. The TV-style presentation is a great idea. They've a ways to go to really make this work, but it seems like a great start. The pitching mechanism seems fun, and perhaps is a bit more challenging on higher levels than the demo.
However, for me the meat of any game is the batter/pitcher duel. I feel it comes up a bit short here. The ball looks like a helium-filled grapefruit as it approaches the plate. While I'm batting, I get the sense I'm playing a mini-game or something rather than locked in an intense battle.
While I feel the presentation style holds much promise, the camera cuts lose something when the players look and move as if they've been lobotomized. And I'm a gameplay over graphics guy every time, but these dudes look funny.
I understand the depths from which this franchise has had to resurrect itself, and this by no means seems like a total stinker. Style-wise, some seeds have been planted that may bear more fruit in the future. But for now, the core gameplay is a "meh".

And Jonah has every write to post his impressions of the demo here in the impressions thread. This isn't the "come in and praise the MLB 2K9 demo" thread. It's a thread for people to post what they are seeing with the demo.
Mr. Jonah Falcon is gracing us with his presence here. We should show him the respect he deserves!
Talkin' Yankees rules, Jonah!
