BY the way on Youtube you can find videos of the full version of the game and it looks like sliders will be in there:

There are 7 option screens you can scroll through, while in the demo there are only 5.
The two additional ones in the full game will be human sliders and CPU sliders.

Counter attacking is fun in the demo. Now that the AI makes some better runs, it opens up more possibilities.

In fifa 16, the AI would often times run 10 yards away from the ball carrier leaving me screaming at the television.

Still seeing defenders and keepers either being out of position or their reaction time is delayed a second or two. On the ball movement is pretty smooth and the game looks gorgeous. I just can't get past some of these nagging positional issues and the errant passing at times that have been plaguing this game for years and its a game killer for me, Frostbite or not.

Some aspects of this game needs an overhaul IMO. Compared to the PES demo, this is a hard pass for me.

Has the update for the demo nerfed AI?

They're a lot easier now

To hell with these patches, I am not doing that this year.

I have played about 40 more games with the demo.

Unless there is a slider for the following things, I just can't get into this game:

- The ball looks like a size 3 youth ball. I have literally no idea what they were thinking this year, but it looks tiny. Stupidly tiny.

- ball physics are the worst they have been in many years. Everything is either magnetized or erratic, like the ball is predestined to go somewhere and therefore takes very strange routes getting there, whether it is speed or lack of it, etc.

- this is my biggest problem by far: ANIMATIONS! whether they are standing still or running, the players arms and legs move way too damn fast, it looks preposterous!

Again, no sliders will fix any of these things. If anybody would find it useful, I would be happy to provide a video, but really, what's the point?

By aplenty, i mean to commend an amount of 4 fouls across a game of 8 minutes, which is an amount that satisfies me greatly when compared to last season's legacy of AI error.
In here you can see a reasonable amount of fouls:

By Real Madrid, as well, if memory doesn't deceive me:

I think the majority of fouls committed in this game happened in the second part of the game i uploaded.

We share the same premises and judgements.

For a long time now i've abanonded most if not all of my hopes for EA to make the AI play as organically as it ideally should be---if it's meant to replicate human behaviour---which has made it easier for me to reconcile with certain patterns which recur every year, and which also, quite understandably, disappoint people every year.

The AI's nowhere near acting like it would be supposed to, in our eyes, but i say it's not that badly performing either...at least in the demo...
Agreed.

That's a number I am also having sometimes. The problem is that usually the 4 fouls in 4 min halves doesn't mean it will be 20 fouls in 20 min halves. Let's wait for the retail version...

Cheers!

In fact I bet there is still the gamebreaking "bursting" problem when you lower the acceleration slider. That's probably why they didn't put sliders in the demo, to hide it from us.

One thing I actually think I'm going to do this year - is avoid this (or any other for that matter) forum too much for the first few months after the game's release.

No offence to anyone of course! I just feel it's natural on any forum for people to mention things that weren't bothering you at all, you to then notice those things, and for them to subsequently drive you mad too. Not to say they aren't usually perfectly fair and valid observations, but obviously having a collective list of things wrong with the game is going to be worse than just having your own individual list.

I'm going to give it until maybe...November? sorta time playing the game 'blind'. Purely finding things out at my own pace, experimenting with sliders myself to find the most enjoyable game and then perhaps trying to be a bit more active on here if I find any flaws that I just can't fix myself. Otherwise I think I'll just be looking out for things that other people have mentioned before I've even received the game in the post myself.

November is perfect. By that time, EA would've released the 3rd patch

Yesterday, I was Bayern playing against Chelsea and they just killed me. The issue was that they went up 3-0 and continued to attack me as if they were trailing! Ended up losing 4-0 to them. Well, actually, I rage quit at 4-0. We all know how Chelsea plays when they get a lead. It's "park the bus city." Heck, ANY team would have parked the bus with THAT lead. Sure hope the logic gets fixed, because that was pretty pathetic.

That's exactly what I"ve been saying this past week about the AI, once they gain the lead they continue to attack (harder than normal) as if they're behind.

This is a video one of my subscribers directed me towards. I thought it was interesting that the CPU played this way when he was only controlling his forwards. Could this be the spatial analysis feature at work? CPU is only "aware" of where the player's cursor is currently selected?

Yes, that's a given. However, it should breed some discussion that depending on where the cursor is, the CPU may not see it as a threat, thus choosing to make these safe passes. Another part, and I'll test this later, this could be confirmation that tactics do work. It would make sense as I personally defend the CPU by controlling only (as much as I can of course) my CDM or CM.

Look at you, always positive Matt! I love it, I hope you're right. I'm getting the game no matter what but would like some of those small things working correctly out of the box.

This has been the case for a long time, Im surprised it just now seems to have garnered some attention. The CPU only reacts to where your cursor is. Try this, when the cpu has the ball spam the switch player button and slide tackle repeatedly amd watch the CPU have a meltdown.

Not necessarily, I've done the whole approach with FIFA 16 as well. Just left a forward to run around while I don't switch. The CPU plays the same way, just as direct. This is definitely different, but not sure if it's a good thing. It's more about finding where the control can come from.

I'm intrigued though to try slide tackling off the pitch, will give it a go .
