Another MLB 12 The Show game update arrived this morning, bring it up to version 1.16. Check below for the details and let us know what you are seeing.
  • Schedules and box score were misaligned for a portion of the games for certain teams.
  • Occasionally when loading into online games, an empty field (home plate view) would be shown and user has to PS button out.
  • Analog bunting interface, versus a behind the pitcher view in online games would cause a frequent freeze when the user on offense bunted.

Dumb question but how do I go about sending my franchise file? I have it saved to a USB stick, but I don't know how to include it in my PM.

BTW since you asked someone else this, I downloaded the patch a little after midnight last night.

Use a zip program(Windows has one built in...just double click the file and choose send to zipped folder)

Host it someplace like this.... www.sendspace.com

Then send the link provided.

I love how, when continuing a series from a cross save, the announcers talk about how guys did from my previous game. Too cool.

That actually is really cool. I don't even own a Vita and I find this tidbit fascinating.

Does anyone else who's not having freezing issues think the game plays the best it's played yet after this last patch? I'm not seeing the balls smashed back to the pitcher anymore, not getting thrown out at second on gap balls anymore.....just seems to be the game I remember it being the last 4 years that I loved so much. I was almost done with the game until this last patch. Maybe its placebo but something def feels better now.

I am literally at the All Star break, I'm on the day of the Homerun Derby/day before actually All Star Game... Was trying to hold off the patch but would like to DL it... You think I'm in the clear???
Using Knights Spring rosters, franchise created before patch 1.06, had a freezing problem with the last patch but re-DLed it and it's been good ever since...

I'm probably just feeding a placebo affect, but in 10 games since the patch I've only seen a very reasonable amount of bouncers back to the mound, and none that deflected off the pitcher.

Make back-up saves if you plan on downloading it.

It's not worth the risk for losing all that time you've invested but if you want to take the chance it's your choice.

I sent Russell my RTTS file.

Notes on my RTTS issue -
Started before patch 1.06 - had no issues

Downloaded patch 1.16 - Could not continue to play. Game would freeze every time I tried to play next appearance.

Deleted patches - Game was working fine again. I played a few more games and decided to re-download patches to see if they would work and game was now not giving me the freezing issues. I do have the record issue though of teams having over 150 losses.

In Real Life, the Reds were supposed to have their game on Fri, but the Marlins agreed to change the date to Thurs so the Reds could have their opener the same day as the parade.

Don't know if it's placebo or not, but I feel the same way. I am definitely loving how the game plays!

You wouldn't happen to have a save from a few days earlier, just to be safe? It might be a good idea to proceed but not overwrite this particular save (assuming you know what I mean.)

I believe I might, I do keep a 2nd copy of my franchise to be safe but I don't think I saved over it this weekend and I know I played through the last series before the All star break this weekend... If I'm really lucky this new patch won't affect my franchise either way, fingers crossed

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to say. Better safe than sorry. Good luck!

I think my franchise file is through for with this update.

I was trying to pack it up to send to Russel and I'm getting corruption errors when trying to zip the franchise folder

Not a good day to be me. Maybe I get lucky and somehow they release a fix that will save all my time and hard work.

What kind of corruption errors?
I don't think WinZip or Windows zip program would know that your PS3 file is corrupted.

Actually now that I'm looking back at it when I'm not completely enraged, it seems like there was a file missing out of the save I copied from my PS3. How that happened I will never know. Packing it up as we speak to send to em in hopes that he can be my "Great White Hope" lol.

Can someone please explain to go about deleting a game patch? I've gone to game>game data... all that. I can't find any of the patches; only game saves.

# 380 Taffin @ 05/01/12 02:02 PM
For what it's worth, my RTTS (created with the 1.06 patch) that was in mid-August works just fine with the 1.16 patch. No freezing, no wacky records. Just putting it out there because it seems like some people are throwing blanket statements out there that if you are post-All Star break, your franchise or RTTS will freeze.
