Do you think its possible that the hitting could be easy for him and not so easy for you? Or is he just wrong??

I still despise all the analog bull****. It feels tacked on. I'm from the school of "Press A to swing". Period.
You do know that you can change the hitting controls to use A to swing in the retail version right?

I tried the swingstick and I simply don't care for it. I can't get a ball out of the infield using the stick.

It's fine if they want to include alternative control methods, but forcing people to use something that they don't want to use is bad business. I mean I probably wasn't going to buy it anyway since I'll be playing The Show, but I still would like an option for a baseball game on the 360.

I really dont see what the complaints are about the graphics i mean it looks great to me and its just an old build of the game so i know how polished the final product will be this is a pretty solid demo hell if you ask me this demo beats out the final version of 2k8 thats just my input

I'd rather have them work on making it so that I can work the count as a hitter and have hitters fooled as a pitcher than the idiotic analog stick, and the even MORE idiotic pitching analog which doesn't feel like baseball one whit. It feels like a minigame crammed into the game to give someone with no attention span something to do.

It doesn't feel like baseball.
My point is that some actually like the analog controls. Like me. There are options though.

If you don't like it then don't buy it man. That's all I can really say.

I think the some of the signature styles are terrible...they dont have victorino's stance, werth's stance, carlos pena's stance and utleys stance isnt even good. All these players are pretty big names. I was expecting much more people to have signature stances

One the fence about canceling my pre order, will wait for a retail impressions thread.

- The running out fielder animations are very awkward. They look like plastic man twisting their upper torso.
- The swing stick batting completely diminished my pre release hype. I understand you can change it in the retail, but i'm not willing to gamble $60 on the playability on "regular batting". I wish they would have given us a choice in the demo.
- The icons and after swing graphics are vomit inducing. Can you turn them off in the retail??
-The person who approved the design of the "runners on base icon" should be fired. Static army men cutouts represent baserunners now? I just do not like a lot of the graphic overlays.

I really wish sports games had a 2 year development cycle.

wow...hitting a HR was disappointing. Maybe just an early build thing. No real trot around the bases, replay, home plate celebration, nothing except the jumbotron which I think was just playing a fill-in animation til 2k puts the real one in?

All in all, its better than I expected aside from the controls and it not being any challenge (surely just a difficulty setting).

I just hit a HR with Werth to dead center. The Liberty Bell sounded, so whoever said it didn't earlier, don't know what to tell you. But I heard it all the way around the bases. Nice touch.

It would of been nice if the demo had a option to view what the controller buttons can do in the game.

After playing some games of the demo i can see why the demo was not put in the new arrivals section but left hidden like it was an old release.

The jerky animations take away from the gameplay. The outfielders seem like there running in quicksand at times. A fielder right under the icon will drop the ball at times like he is manny ramirez. This issue might have to do with the camera angle.

The control schemes for batting and pitching are still lame. At least they made it easier with the pitching so your not trying to pull off street fighter moves like 2k8.

The one positive is the commentary. I wish the show had commentary like this. It gives the game a realistic broadcast like your watching espn.

I think they said it sounded, but did not move.
