will this game turn into another system/tv seller for PS4 Pro and 4K tvs???
I highly doubt there will be. Pro is going to be a very small minority of there base atleast for the next 2 years.

I would like to see that or even just an "edit manager" option.

Some of the generic managers in this game are just scary looking.

Editing managers would allow you to turn retired players into coaches and managers, put yourself as the manager, historic managers, or just edit the appearance of the generic ones.

Ditto this, after post-holiday sales numbers were tabulated, the total number of PS4 Pro's out there was only about 5% of the total number of PS4 consoles out there.

Remember that PS4 Pro support basically just means 2160p resolution and HDR. Well, PS4 regular supports HDR now too... So it isn't like there are a ton of new features that would make it worth upgrading for most users. Other advantages like 1080p super-sampling and frame-rate enhancements I guess are nice too, but how noticeable they are and how much they justify spending $400 on a new console (and even more $ on a 4K TV for most users) is subjective.

Why do so many threads on this forum turn into PS4 Pro discussions? Back on topic:

5 days until the first Dev blog and one week to the first Twitch stream!

One thing I love about NBA 2K and Madden is how retired players can become coaches... It'd be awesome if there was an "Baseball IQ" or "Awareness" attribute for a player and if someone has a high baseball IQ they can become a coach after they retire.

Not really sure why that was like that. Also, when a player hits a homerun, it will be dope to see in the overlay that accompanies it, the number it was (10th of the year...etc) for them. Right now it just says Solo Home Run (or whichever it was) -- Distance of HR.

I know I probably explained that poorly...yea.
The Home run overlay pops up while the batter is crossing home plate and as you can see in the screen shot it shows a "1" meaning first Home Run of the season. This was first added in MLB The Show 16 although I do think and hope the Home Run overlays UI will be improved even more so it matches more of what is shown on a real baseball broadcast.

Before 16 we got no Home Run overly pop ups while the batter was rounding the bases at all so I was happy that this was finally added in 16. But I was hoping the Overlay was more like this below.

(Two Run Home Run : Martin 1st this season) instead of just saying "Martin (1)"

"Martin 1st this season" just looks better to me

Also in real life I am pretty sure they do not know instantly how far the ball was hit. So I don't think the distance should even be shown on the Home Run overlay. Instead it should be shown maybe a few pitches later perhaps with the announcers talking about the home run the previous batter just hit and how far it went
I hope that improved this for 17.

I am 99.99% certain this will be brought back. There was a poll that one of the Dev team members put up here about that exact thing and it was overwhelming we all wanted season stat's always shown in the walk-up (and updated as well on the spot after a hit, HR Sb etc like it was before).

I would also love season stats to always be shown in walk-ups in the post season as well as their current post season stats.

I have a great feeling we are getting a nice refresh of the entire presentation package, OSD (on screen displays) etc.

It all starts next week!!!! Let the hype begin!!

It does not show up in RttS. Perhaps it's just a franchise thing.. I'll have to get a SS when I get home today.

That would be just so freaking awesome!!!

Not that there terrible or anything but the presentation package, OSD, screen displays and so on really are in need of a major overhaul.

I wonder if Sony ever thought about bringing in some guys from real Baseball broadcasts perhaps MLB Network, Fox Sports ,ESPN to help them design a new presentation package? I think 2K did that with there NBA 2K series.

How about Joe Buck as the second play by play announcer. It shouldn't take long to record his lines or to lift them from Inside Pitch 2003.

Please no. Anybody but Joe Buck. I would rather have Rex "Dude" Hudler back than listen to Buck.

Something I hope they expand upon from MLB 16 is the different OSD and score bug's.

I loved having three different ones to look at. I hope we get more. And of course see more of an MLB Network approach to the entire presentation package in general.

I am very excited to see the streams and find out what they have done....lord the wait...LOL.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather have Joe Buck. I often watch Royals games on mute because of Rex Hudler.

Did you get those from RTTS? I noticed as well that the number of HR's doesn't show up on the overlay.

Try listening to a Red Sox game....you're better off broadcasting another game while watching that.
