Ok i played on pro redskins vs seahawks - i beasted the hawks 28-0! The only thing that i seen so far is the right side of the def, Big Red had 5 sacks, and for the redskins i had kerrigan on the right side he had 10 tackles and 5 sacks, so i think there is a glitch on the right side, I will test it on all-pro tonight, seems like the slants are pretty much covered up, cbs are still dumb and play behind the slot wr, but some how they use turbo spd to swat a pass away...

the running on pro is just too ez, hand off to the side and ur pretty much got 10+ YRDS, because of the blocking and people tripping over each other... Also if you spread out your def line, and use the rolb you can move him back alittle and to the right it opens up the middle to run straight down the gut and sack the qb with ez.... could be the difficult settings at pro tho...

will test it on all pro tonight after work....

Has anyone seen improvements regarding the challenge system? The IE probably makes it even harder for the CPU to come up with the correct call but I hope it's not still completely broken.

Is it just me or does the motion blur and the new lightning sytem looks bad and washed out in the demo?

Played one game as the 49ers on All-Pro. The CPU loves the spin move. I was left hugging air a couple of times until I adjusted. I ended up winning by 14. It felt ok. Similar yet different if that makes sense. Im not a fan of the color and design schemes of the play call menu. I do like the halftime stat comparisons. Wish they went further and talked about individual players. Camera angle isnt my favorite. Too far back like 12. Audio is much improved.

Computer AI still makes me nervous. Hopefully off the field its better in CCM.

The most impressive thing to me so far, by far, is the announcing by Jim nanz and Phil Simms. I just finished a game between the Giants and 49ers. The announcing was spot on! Everything from little anecdotes to play by play has been perfect.

I second that, downloading as we speak off PSN.

really like the game so far. catch animations etc. although it seems incredibly easy thus far. I have one massive complaint that I hope is just a demo issue

Im not getting any assisted tackles recorded. im sure someone has mentioned this already, I just want someone to make sure this is right in the real game, as that is HUGE for CCM and total tackles so on so forth plus we all want correct tackle totals. hoping new system didnt break that. don't know enough about making video game's to know.

Will DL when i get home from the office and play a few games and give a detailed impression tonight. Really looking forward to playing this demo....like what I am reading so far.

Disclaimer- I am loving NCAA 13.

So i just got done my first game in the demo. 49ers (me) against the Giants on All-Pro with the default settings and everything. I decided that i'm going to play both games today with the default settings then later on i will mess around with whatever sliders are given.

I had a lot of fun with the first game on both sides of the ball. On offense i really did not need to throw the ball that much because my man Frank Gore had 133 yards on 14 carries. My defense was a bit lackluster but i saw a lot of things i liked with the engine which is what i was hoping to see. Also, i dont know about any of you guys but i tend to put the controller down a bit once i get hit but in this first game alone i kept realizing "oh wait he's not down yet because my guy is on top of a tackler!" It was very nice to see. I did end up winning 28-14.

The commentary is MUCH improved than last year. To me it's very refreshing to have less dead air than in the past and have a team that ya know sounds like they are watching the game on the field. I even heard them break off a sentence when Nicks caught a deep ball and scored on me it was awesome. Once i finish the Skins-Seahawks game i'll be back but so far so good fellas! =D

Cut scene graphics are crisp showing great detail on the uniforms. I'm currently playing a game between the Redskins and Seahawks. Are the Redskin helmets really that color?

I noticed Madden 13 still have pass block strength, pass block footwork, run block strength and run block footwork ratings.........So a Game Changer tell me why again NCAA 13 took those ratings out ???

Other then that, I haven't seen any funky issues with the physics engine at all. To be honest, most plays I don't even notice it is in the game at all. About the only time I notice it is with the gang tackling, TRUE GANG TACKLING when you have a powerful back and it takes a lot of guys to bring him down. I notice it on fumbles too.

Fumbles are handled much more realistic. Unlike NCAA 13, where a defender always come out of no where and scoop up the fumble while running in full stride. Madden 13, ball squirts around on the ground, guys dive for the ball.

Juke and spin moves ACTUALLY WORK in Madden 13. That is a huge plus. NCAA 13.......that isn't the case.

See dirty uniforms in Madden 13 as well.

Hard to believe Madden 13 and NCAA 13 is made by the same company in the same year side by side. Night and day difference between the two.

Oh yeah commentary...is not annoying this year for once......

I don't know what my overall feelings are yet, but one thing I hope is fixed with the physics is how when you make contact when running head on, the runner goes into a kind of standing fetal position (I suppose to simulate the fact that he received contact). In the open field, this is fine as even though it looks a bit off, you can still branch out and make plays occasionally. When running close to your line, however, the runner crumbles into a heap without much fight.

Also, some tackles seem to be more like two guys running into a wall rather than into another person as there is no give and just collapse (for both players involved). Other than these things though (though, admittedly, the first one is a pretty big flaw IMO), I think the physics are off to a pretty good start.

Some other general thoughts:

-AI is just short of terrible. Clock management, situational management, playcalling, etc are all rough to say the least.

-Graphics look good and some of the animations seem a bit smoother.

-DBs have the same problem as in NCAA where they just don't move for awhile on certain plays (not slow to react, but flat out stopped). This happened to the AI more than me and led to some really easy big plays.

-The lead passing didn't feel as responsive as in NCAA (which is a plus IMO, as I felt NCAA was too easy).

-Commentary still has a ways to go to be a plus for the game, but I think it's at least no longer a minus.

-Crowd sounds pretty lively.

-Like others here, I hate the default camera. Also, it seems like some of the cuts/transitions are less dynamic or not as smooth. There is something off when compared to 12 I think. I can't tell what it is specifically, but there is less of a broadcast feel to some of the camera work (it's like the difference between standard cam and broadcast camera last year, where standard cam had a better variety of camera cuts coming out of the offensive huddle. 13 is like broadcast camera, where it's generally the same angles). I'm hoping that's a limitation of the demo though.

-Running feels great when contact is made and contact animations are really smooth overall (minus some of the expected hiccups with the IE). The downside is that it makes open field running all the more loose feeling, but if EA could ever get that part right (weight/momentum), then the physics seems like it will handle the rest.

-Even on slow speed, the animations seem to occasionally speed up when there is a physics-based animation. It's not a lot, but noticeable.

-My experience with the new physics has been mixed, but overall I think it's a positive for Madden. It needs some tweaking, but I think (still not sure) the positives outweigh the negatives.
