I'm not using the icon lead passing either.

Little help, anyone?
Is there a crash offensive boards slider during the timeout?

Not sure, but there is one in the coach profile. Not sure why they would make my players run towards the hoop when they're wide on the arch.

Ok.

I am pleased with this patch. Played 2 games with Allstar/default settings. I am on the 360.

What I saw that I liked:
  • Your Defense impacts the CPU. Finally. I feel like if I hustle and play good D - I am rewarded. BUT WAIT - there's more. It works both ways. Shots that I was draining pre-patch I was clanking. The CPU defense matters now too.
  • 3rd quarter. The dreaded 3rd quarter. 1st quarter - I was getting trounced going into the quarter and it continued. Cool. 2nd game - I was down by 6 going in - I scored the first 12 points of the quarter - quarter ended tied. It felt ... right.
  • Passing - good.
  • The CPU seems less robotic. I saw bad passes, bad footwork and overplaying by the AI.
  • The CPU ran it's offense much quicker. The number of times a player just dribbled the ball for 15 seconds until the shot clock is under 5 seconds has been GREATLY reduced. I just didn't see it much if at all.

Not perfect - but I am happy.

i had thought i had read some where that they were going to fix the problem where the draft classes would have all cold zones but i just just tried it and its still the same this is big for me cause i enjoy using custom draft classes.

No CPU double teams is a big letdown.

Good to hear. Too often the CPU took up too much to the shot clock, particularly frustrating when they're trailing in the fourth.

Not impressed AT ALL. Go-go gadget tipped passes are still present, as are shot-clock-beating prayers by the cpu and the infuriating fumbled catch animations.

I'm hard-pressed to recall any improvements in the cpu's offensive game.

Disappointed that none of these things were addressed:

- Players still don't sweat like last year.

- Shot feedback system online is missing from last year.

- Calling defensive plays with PG in Team Up is missing from last year.

- Legend teams missing in Team Up from last year.

- In Team Up pre-game lobby you can't exit or mute people like you could last year.

- Team up there are still problems at times when you try to inbound the ball to someone. If the person(s) aren't open enough and defenders are close by it won't let you pass the ball in or is severly delayed, which sometimes leads to getting 5 sec calls.

- Team up in-game Substitution method still a problem. Screen disappears too quickly, sometimes doesn't work at all, players disappear from the list at times, scrolling only in one direction, no confirmation button.

- In custom Team Up you can't cycle through the players pre-game to see who are your backups like you could last year.

- Steals need to be tunned down just a little more online, there is still too many steals, especially on players with good ball handling skills.

Getting a lot of after game freezing in MyPlayer now. Plenty more than I got pre-patch.

I dont have the patch yet. Can any one tell me if inbound plays now allow you to change the inbound passer when you call timeout? I couldnt get it to work pre-patch and was hoping this was fixed.

Anyone from Australia get this patch?...still havent recieved it

I'm sorry, but this patch is a huge letdown. I don't feel like much has changed at all. I don't feel like typing why. But, sitting at work reading impressions of the patch got me hype to play when I got home at 6 and after 7 games against CPU and 3 against a friend it looks like a lot of people have the placebo effect going on here....

Agreed! Never had a freeze in MyPlayer until tonight. After every game it goes to the screen before the press conference and freezes everytime. Three games in a row!!!

Was loving this game but c'mon man!!! Unplayable like this.

Xbox 360.

These morphs are so small. Honestly if your noticing these things and zooming in your already a lost cause. I'm guessing you think games are supposed to be substitutes for real life. They're not, theyre supposed to be for fun. If your zooming in on this your not having fun are you? Your taking this game to a whole different level.

Honestly tell me what game holds up to such scrutiny? Tell me pleeease!!

I've noticed ALOT more over the back calls. Stealing from behind isn't as easy. If you don't box out, you are screwed. LOL

Okay just had another run against the Spurs on All-Star, Sim and later with toned down clutch and driving contact. Still haven't won, and lost in the last seconds partly due to CPU clutch shots twice.

3rd quarter boost seems much more toned down. I don't get blown out in the 3rd as much.

However, end of game superhuman clutch cheese is still in full effect. Spin layups and 3's that don't miss. Unfun.

Manu is also sinking low-graded buzzer beaters, and it seems like the CPU sinks a lot of C's and D's while I can struggle to make A's at times. I've also had the CPU get graded a A for shots where I have a defender contesting, and I've gotten C's and D's with space that the CPU would make shots regularly with.

I THINK passing issues have improved a bit-- I still turn the ball over plenty due to psychic defense, guys not going to the ball, and my own stupidity, but it doesn't seem quite as bad as it was pre-patch. I didn't encounter too many ridiculous pass selections. Overall, it felt a bit more like 2K11: a bit more steal happy, but only marginally frustrating. There was one ridiculous steal where Blair was on the opposite side of where the ball was being passed and launched himself across the receiver cutting to the basket to steal the pass. Ridiculous.

This is REALLY REALLY frustrating: Instead of an easy straight layup with the protected hand, baseline drives will lead to double clutch circus shots that expose the ball from the baseline to the defenders in the paint. This happens about 80% when you've beaten your man to the paint. You're rewarded with a block and if you're lucky, a foul. I used to live off these in 2K11. Now on the rare instances I beat the CPU to the paint, I set myself up for a block.

I saw one instance of a CPU double team when Ellis got hot for a brief moment. Really.

Dribble penetration is still nearly impossible-- unless you just lay off the turbo and casually dribble pass the defender. That makes absolutely no sense. I don't know who at 2K thought this was a good idea. It renders isomotion this year nearly useless, both because you can't readily get around the defender and because it's easier just to slowly dribble past them. I know Manu is moderately fast but would Monta Ellis really have that much trouble getting by him? He's also constantly warping to stay in front of me. What's the solution here, turn down on-ball defense? Isomotion last year was much more fun, because the CPU actually had significant momentum you can game. You could even drive by your defender at the right angle to avoid the bumping. Does that work this year? I haven't seen it much.

Not much boxing out, but it feels like I get more offensive rebounds.

Overall it doesn't feel too different from pre-patch. Perhaps it reduced the frustration factor a little bit in reducing 3rd quarter momentum and alleviating some passing issues, so sure, it's somewhat improved, but the game is still very frustrating at one difficulty notch above normal. What's the point of having so many difficulty levels if only one plays fairly and the rest are extremely difficult through rapidly rising levels of CPU cheese and difficulty achieving NBA staples? Maybe it's time to just play on Pro/Default.

This really needs one more patch before we can start considering its overall gameplay as approaching 2K11's patched. Most likely, this is what we're stuck with. Unfortunate, as it only needs a few tweaks to take advantage of all the work 2K has put into in individual areas, but it seems 2K was distracted by the DLC.

This brought up a thought-- is it too difficult if I have as much more or more difficulty with a team as the real Warriors do? Am I wrong to expect to be able to beat them with some effort? I don't mind losing-- I do kind of mind losing when I've worked hard and I'm up, and Manu and Parker start hitting 3's and spin-layuping their way to victory.
