Let's just say that 2k10 is dead! Long live 2k11. I don't remember that last time a game was so dramatically different from one iteration to another. Hats off to the developers. Should be some FUN balling this year.
LT was never turbo, it was always RT/R2. LT/L2 was post up in 2K9 and dribble moves in 2K10.
LT/L2 + RT/R2 is post up this year, so if you're confused by what LT does, you're also holding turbo the entire time.
sorry, i meant RT. lol it's not operating as the sprint button. i'm holding down the RT button on the move and turning into a post up. should i just be tapping the RT button?
Ive played about 6 games with the demo,things i can tell that i liked was the momentum jumpers,looks more fluid,kobe's new jumpshot,defense ai is better,u have to be wise when your passing the ball,its harder to get by your man,theres more contact down low,the hopstep effectiveness has been reduced due to better defensive play,the graphics are cool.theres no doubt that 2k11 is the only bball game i will be playing this year
This demo is sick, i played it for like an hour straight. The game is just smooth love the way the basketball feels like it's really there. Overall I'm really impressed, just wish there was a two player option,or team select for that matter. It gave me that same great feeling i had when the 2k7 demo came out.
just got back from a good hour spent on the game theres honestly no way to describe how awesome the controls feel shot stick is making a big comeback and decision making is more important then ever no more easy assists making I think 2k is really striving to eliminate cheesers even on such a easy difficulty level the ai is insane sim difficulty might just take over our lives lol seriously tho
i have to say many animations still feel delayed and not responsive...pass animations for example sometimes take too long for the player to pass after hitting the button.
body contact when dribbling still feels like suction...you get stuck to the defender and can't break out of it...i don't care who says you can break out of contact animations...you can't.
blues you can break out of it you just have to do it at the right time.
More issues with the A.I. If you back up when defending the ball handler youll force him to drive every time at you even when theres your PF and C waiting behind you. The A.I. has no concept of what kind of player it is and when to pull up or drive. It just drives at you when you give it space.
i cant even come close to replicating this. I either see jump shots or a drive that leads to a pass out of a shot. More often than not, it's a jumper in my face. perfect AI execution
I love the crowd, the atmosphere.
like how passing to bigs on the run is harder, dynamic.
LOVE how guards (rondo) can add that lil extra float to just get it over my bigs for 2.
post passes are no longer a given, the a.i has awoke.
dribble moves are insane, cant wait to hit up practice mode. "practice?"
i liked kobe's socks lol. paul pierce attacked outside to mid range much like he would IrL, love his set shot animation, all the different momentum shots.
the game is harder, more realistic except its now fun again.
the only complaint i would have is that its more of a tease then a demo.
good job to 2k and all those who put in ideas/feedback and for 2k to accept the feedback to achieve all this, man..
