My Player: Key Games or whole season?

In My Player, do you only play the Key Games or do you play the whole season?

I just got the game on saturday, and immediately created an All-Around PG. I got drafted by the Knicks (the team I liked to be in the most), and decided to play only the key games. This is because last year, I played a whole season with my Athletic PG and after that it got kind of boring, so I wanted to skip through the seasons. However, after I only played 5 games or so, I was already at the All star break.. My only Key Game Opponents are Boston, Miami and New Jersey (wich is kind of odd I think, but maybe this has to do with me not being a starter). I deleted my PG yesterday because I just didn't like being an All-Around player. Also, we traded Amar'e for Pau Gasol, Billups for Felton and somehow we got Dragic starting too..

What do you guys play/suggest me? Play the whole season, or just play the Key Games?

Also, any tips on scoring and just playing in general? Last year I didn't have a problem with scoring, but this year I'm averaging 4 ppg and 1 apg, just awful.. I can't seem to get to the rim anymore, it's hard as hell.

I play every game until my OVR is 90+. It does not matter if you play all or just key games for milestones and records...

The key to success is ball movement.

I see this as a great opportunity to set how many games you play in the season. Count the number of key games you got and go from there. I usually go to my schedule and see what the next game is going to be and decide if I want to play or not.

I was playing mainly key games until they made me a starter. I'm with the Pistons and for some reason, we just couldn't win. I learned how to score more often, perfected my jumper (timing) and went from 4 ppg to about 11 ppg. Beat the Thunder by 1 point in an exciting game. Suddenly, I put up 39 pts one game and 40+ the next two games. It's frustrating that my team never wins without me having to put up unrealistic points.

I'll play every game until my guy is elite and when the games I don't played are sim he is still productive.

The whole season... Until Im in beast mode... I just like the fact that there is opportunities to gain valuable skill points... and I like the satisfaction of getting the milestones my self...

I've mostly been playing the key games, although I'll play through some non-key games if there's a team I particularly want to play against (like the Timberwolves, who are my hometown team—my MP is on the Kings).

I'm glad they added key games because it took so long to get through a season last year with MP. My only wish is that you could skip some non-key games to get to matchups you want to play. As it is, if you play a key game and then don't have another one for a month but play the Heat the day before the next key game and want to play them, you have to play every game leading up to that Heat matchup or else just skip it entirely.

Ball movement, If I have to say so myself, I think I'm pretty good at that.. I know (in real life also) how to set up teammates, and I never try to make difficult contested shots. Also, I think it's just that I have to get used to the new play calling system, that seems a bit odd to me.

Anyway, I'll create a 3pt PG tomorrow I think, and just play all the games at first, then maybe sim a few (Key Games + games I would like to play) and after that only Key Games.

Oh by the way, how are the other positions? My position irl is at the Guard so I like to play as a PG in this game, anybody satisfied with his SF or something?

It seems there are only two options, either play just key games or play every game. Can we pick and choose the games we want to play? I dont see an option to simulate individual games anywhere.

Im a SF for the Suns and my only key games are against the Spurs, Mavs and Lakers. I feel like certain other games (say against OKC -Durant and MIA - James) should also be key games for me.

Am I missing something? If I'm not, thats a HUGE oversight by 2k, not being able to choose the games you want to play. Im having fun playing the mode, but Ive been playing the hell out of it over the past week and Im only 20 games in. I would love to be able to play one game every week of the schedule or something like that, because otherwise I may get burned out on this by the end of this season.
