Pretty sure if you go into the presentation settings and switch off clutch moments then you won't get the no doubt HR cut scene.

You are correct. I just wish it wouldn't turn off the zoomed in camera on stolen base attempts. Oh well. I like watching the real time HR shots.

I love how the cpu will chase pitches out of the zone and not just one a 2 strike pitch. I got the A's to go out of the zone a lot in my last game. And yet against the Cardinals the other day their hitters were very patient.

I think the fielding throwing meter is unique. I didn't realize that pre-loading your throws led to a much harder accuracy meter. Waiting until you get the ball (if you have the time) makes it much easier. I think it's a nice touch and forces you to determine if you have the time to make an accurate throw or if you want to rush it.

Really enjoying this game. It's a great change of pace. Analog pitching in this series rules.

That's good to hear about getting swings on pitches outside of the strike zone. I am going to start playing my 360 copy (bought the digital copy when it was on sale for $10 or $15, can't remember) here soon. I agree with you earlier post about the game getting a bad rap.

Too bad this series won't continue on the Xbox One/PS4. I love The a Show, but also enjoyed what 2K brought to the table.

2K's herky-jerky animations and mediocre player models held this game back.

I played some 2K13 last night and I forgot how much I enjoyed this series.
Like rudyjuly2 said, you can really get poor hitters to chase outside the zone while the better hitters will make you pay or force you to nibble more.

And it can't be said enough how awesome Hitters Eye is.
When at the plate with Adam Jones I feel like an elite hitter. I was able to work a 2-0 count and then smashed a 415' blast over the left-centre wall with a tipped-pitch, hanging curve-ball.

These are the reasons why I hope some of the circumstantial evidence linking 2K's involvement with RBI Baseball is true.
I know that's a pipedream, but MLB2K has a lot of good components I'd love to see reborn in another baseball series.

I think one of the more underestimated things about 2k is their franchise. IMO, it is the best of all time. The fact that player's ratings increase/decrease based on recent trends is huge because it allows you to be flexible during trading.

Consider this: In one franchise, Donovan Solano (who was a 73 overall or so) was on a tear offensively (raising his overall to 81). During the trade deadline, he yielded much more in return. Conversely, certain stars dropped in ratings, hurting the organization's ability to trade them.

Very very underrated franchise indeed.

Got a great set of sliders from rudyjuly2 and having a blast with 2K13 again.
I'm going to make a few more adjustments to the rosters and then fire up a franchise with the Royals.

2K is still one of the funnest(?) baseball games I've ever played. Right up there with MVP.

I'll have to take a look at those sliders. Rudy and I usually are pretty close when it comes to settings/sliders, and I know he does a good job with these 2K baseball games.

What roster are you using, Money?
