Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Review - Madden's Shadow Can't Dim This Promising R
Great review. I only disagree with the comment about RTG and riding the bench. Suppose users want an authentic representation of what it feels like to be a college football player. In that case, they need to experience being a second string and waiting for their moment to shine. That is a glaring but unavoidable part of being a football player.
Experiencing the patience that has to be learned in waiting to play while you're "riding the bench" [while realistically, these players are standing up on the sideline, watching the game play out and waiting for their chance to show their talent if the coach calls out their name/number] is what makes so many college football players better men later in life than they would have otherwise been.
EA could add to this experience by giving the RTG player the option of a first-person helmet camera to watch the game from the sideline. This point-of-view would also be beneficial for dynasty players who call plays but prefer to live the game through the coach's eyes, letting their recruits show their talents with no input from a human. It could be a game-changer, though 2K previously offered this POV in their NFL series.
