Here are some details of the way I set up the League:
- Current Rosters
- No roster injuries
- 12 minute quarters
- High injury frequency, particularly career-ending
- Low player progression rate
- Low draft class quality
- High chemistry effect
- Trade approval on for cpu-cpu trades (very helpful)
I started the season with a very bad roster, and I knew that this was not going to be a good season. I wanted this to be an year of experiments. The team had nothing to lose so I started trading expiring contracts for decent young players and tried to get a few draft picks. The objective was to have some promising talent in the roster so I can then decide which players I want to keep as building blocks for the future.
This is how the roster stood at the beginning of the season:
PG: J.Clarkson / J.Lin / R.Price
SG: K.Bryant / W.Ellington / J.Brown
SF: W.Johnson / N.Young / R.Kelly
PF: J.Randle / E.Davis / C.Boozer
C: J.Hill / R.Sacre / T.Black
The big questions with this team are whether Randle and Clarkson are franchise players, which I personally think they aren't (PLEASE SHARE YOUR OPINION, IT HELPS A LOT). The other big challenge is how to work together the rebuilding process of the team and the fact that Kobe is playing the final years of his career and it would be a shame not to take advantage of them. For now, I have decided to focus on developing the young players- Kobe gets injured a lot and his OVR decreases every month.
On the next post I will share some trades I made midseason and start working on plans for the offseason.
AS ALWAYS, I APPRECIATE COMMENTS, QUESTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!
