Official Madden NFL 17 Roster Update Scheduled To Arrive on September 9

The official Madden NFL 17 roster update is scheduled to arrive on Friday, September 9. We will post the details when they arrive.

Im not whining. The post above was my first post. You are the one saying that people are entitled because they have been waiting all day for the update. Especially when past history says that EA releases updates early in the morning.

Saying "There are worse things to worry about." etc. is irrelevant. This is literally the place to complain about this at.

With all that being said I think Madden gamers absolutely have a right to complain about the delay in roster updates. I could be wrong, but it seems like something that is a lot easier to do then a patch, tuning update, or a commentary update. We have had plenty of those updates, but we are still rolling with outdated rosters?


How is it delayed? Also he works on equipment and that includes scanning stuff.

Also if you get paid to do them and you know you can't just fix a little thing and re upload it like the roster share guys can you may take a little longer for due diligence. He also has to get everything OKed and checked I'm sure.

Plus did the game say on the box that the price included roster updates? Like as a part of money we paid?

Can guys complain about something EA doesn't have to do? Sure. It's a free country I guess.

People complain and whine about stuff though. It's completely normal behavior for some. They want to start their franchise and they can't because an update isn't out yet and they dont understand what the hold up could be. So they come on here to vent. Whatever, I'm sad it's not out yet also. People could be disgustep with a game and it not really be EAS fault and have to do with their own lack of patience. It's their game though, they don't NEED to have patience to enjoy it. So what if they are getting disgusted. I used to get very annoyed when I wouldn't start my chise until a couple months after purchase. It happens. I say, let the peeps complain.

I'm just gonna drop it so as to not go off topic any more. The info said rosters would be out today. No time. Devs said it would be out when it's done. Last year it was later afternoon when it came out. You can either have patience or not. That's pretty much it.

Last year it came out late afternoon. I remember because it was dinner time.

Last night was technically the start of week 1 so any boosts from week one would happen in the week 2 update.

Nope... there is no such past history. Updates usually happen mid-afternoon.

What entitlement? We're paying customers dude. I wholeheartedly agree that people need to calm down, but it's not like EA is doing us a favor out of the goodness of their hearts lol

Now, the people who go into the NCAA roster update threads and bitch at the editors...THAT'S entitlement.

The restaurant never says when your food is coming out either. But I bet you would complain if you had to keep waiting. Doesn't mean you are whining. It means you are anxious to get your **** food.

Actually, I think they are doing us a favour. They could've just sold the game as is and walked away to count their money... its not like the box says that weekly update rosters are included.

There really is two sides to this. The first side is we want updated rosters to begin our franchises because the technology allows for updates. back in the day, which I remember, there was no roster updates and you had to deal with the existing rosters forever. I too, remember manually updating rosters all night and day for all sports. Obviously, those times have changed and allowed us to not have to spend hours every week manually updating rosters which was extremely time consuming. As long as it comes out today, then its all good. If it doesn't come out today, then that's an issue. And I agree with the prior post, this is exactly the forum to complain, where else would you?


The other side is that we are talking about rosters ("we are talking bout practice" comes to mind, lol). Yes, its annoying that the rosters aren't out yet, and we all want to begin our franchise with the correct rosters (although there will be mistakes I guarantee it)


If you really want to begin the franchise ASAP, you can download community rosters, that quite honestly are probably better and more up to date than EA (especially from OP) and begin your franchise.


There is a difference between being annoyed versus constant complaining and blowing it out of proportion. I do agree however that if they don't come out today, or come out at like 11pm, than that's crap. I too am looking forward to updated rosters to begin my franchise, and while its annoying, I'm sure they will come out ASAP, and we will be good.

So patch not out yet, guess I will be playing 2K 17 until they drop this patch, maybe even Overwatch free weekend, then we might get a patch by then lol
