Disagree for now but maybe I need more time to study it.

It just seems like my teammates are more active on defense on Pro than World Class but I could also see where what you're saying might be true.

I agree with the sentiments on Pro. After going back and forth between it and World Class, the only way to play this game is on Pro IMO. It lets the game breathe and really show what it can be.

I found World Class games just devolving into track meets at some point every game. Boring!

Agree. My only concern with Pro is that I have too much freedom in my opponent's box. I'm hoping an increase to cpu marking helps this.

For those playing on PRO, how are the possession stats? Are you finding it a challenge to still keep possession against the higher rated teams, esp those who play a possession game irl?

I was playing the demo on World Class against Barca last night using the lowest rated team (full manual, default sliders and tactics), and found it easier than I would've liked to keep possession against them. I'm afraid moving down to PRO might make it even easier.

I think it really depends on your style of play. I'm on Pro right now and am getting almost 50/50 possession. Previous years I would mostly play world class or legendary and was barely keeping my possession at around 40%.

It should. I upped cpu marking to 65 and frequently found myself frustrated when I got near the box in a seemingly open shot on goal because the defenders were so tenacious in quickly recovering and closing down.

After 20 or so games, I have worked out WC is my level for a decent game. Pro is good but I will get 15 shots compared to the CPU 2 or 3 shots. On WC it is better with CPU having around 4-8 shots a game and me with around 4 or 5 a game depending on if it's a Man Cuty or a Crystal Palace type team I am playing against with me being Man Utd. Generally games end 1-0 to CPU. I feel WC is tough but IMO the CPU should be attacking more and having more shots on goal and not just attack when I score or after 70 mins in games. I don't remember ever feeling like the CPU didn't shoot enough in other FIFA games. I have also found that PES 16 has a similar issue (when I played the demo). Is this the trend?

I'm playing with Livepool in my MM (with real life Europa League group), and with Pro lately after bouncing back from WC, I've found it to be a nice balance. I came back from 2-0 down to Spurs on the road to draw 2-2 and we were about even on possession and shots. Great match actually. Then we played at home against FC Sion, and I was able to beat them 4-1 while racking up 22 shots to 4 and a possession win of 70-30. They didn't press and tried to sit back, and I punished them. I feel like I'd never get that kind of variety on WC. Sion would have successfully been all over me the second I tried anything past the center line on WC. Your opposition should feel different. It never does for me above Pro.

I'm going to keep with Pro while tweaking the sliders here and there. I feel like the game is very well balanced for my personal preference out of the box and only needs a couple changes. After being pretty apathetic about a console soccer game ever gripping me again, I have to say this is a nice surprise.

It seems a few people are saying Pro over world-class. I've only played for a little but i definitely need some sliders to make Pro harder.

I will up CPU marking but my scoring hasn't been a real issue...i just haven't let up many goals. How do i get the CPU to be better on pro without having them pass at 100%?

Try increasing player runs a bit.

Personally I've always found it better to play on the higher difficulties and adjust from there. You get to see the best of the AI that way. If you play on Pro you're going to see too many poor decisions by the CPU - even top players will make some truly baffling decisions at times.

I do agree that out the box, Pro feels the best balanced difficulty level, mainly because it's easier to apply realistic pressure to the CPU when it's in possession, but it just gets too easy the more you learn the game.

Also, for people struggling to apply pressure to the CPU on WC or above (and I include myself in that group), have people experimented with using quick tactics, custom tactics, and defense/attack mentalities? I've heard elsewhere that they can be effective when you come up against a CPU team that's doing well to keep possession from you, but haven't had the time to properly test myself.

Just to clarify - the sliders work where 50 and higher mean MORE of something right.

I'm loving World Class. I think that's my level for my CM.

So, the general concenses is dumb down World Class with sliders over boosting Pro with sliders?

This is more tricky to me as on World Class I find teams holding possesion but not creating chances. On Pro they seem attack more and shoot more. They miss a lot on Pro, but against me take more shots. On World Class they miss less but shoot way less...

Has anyone tried boosting Pro? All the sliders I find are dumbing down World Class... A few slider sets I tested made World Class actually easier than Pro just with lower scores because the CPU became possesion nuts and never shot the ball. Maybe it is a guy thing to think higher difficulty dumb down is better than lower difficulty boosted, or maybe it is just better. IDK

I am going to try boosting Pro (when it becomes too easy) as to me the CPU plays more realistic tactics on that level. I can win on World Class now but never score more than a goal and the CPU has never scored more than two against me. To me that is not sim...

So I've been going back and forth and I can't quite decide where I'm going to land.

I agree with you that WC can simply turn into a possession fest with little scoring or pressing forward. I thought I was loving WC with OS sliders until I tested it with two mismatched teams. I was Man City playing against the worst FB1 team I could find. I beat them easily enough but they out possessed me 60/40. It just didn't feel right.

On Pro I find that the CPU defense is way too lax when I'm in their box. I've had cpu marking as high as 75% and still didn't see much of a change. I'll keep testing out Pro but I still think I'm always going to find it too easy regardless of what slider adjustments I make.

The problem with boosting pro has always been that you can't boost the AI's decision making. Not only is the AI more intelligent with how it defends but if you play on Pro you're going to miss out on some pretty intelligent attacking moves by the cpu.

But I do agree that pro is the better balanced difficulty out of the box and just feels much better.

I've been boosting Pro and so far so good.

The first paragraph is what my problem with WC is. It makes bad teams/players too good. The boosts the AI receives eliminate the feel of being able to boss a game against a team you should be able to. Maybe I'm just not that good, but I got beat 3-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Pro and it felt really organic. When I tried pressing to get a goal, they killed me on the counter. Right now, I started a Sounders MM, and am playing a preseason tourney in Mexico. I beat some low-level team from South America handily, and now I'm playing Santos Laguna, and the skill level/pressing of the opposition is like night and day. I'd rather it be a little on the easy side over every match feeling the same.
