EA Sports has just released some NBA Live 16 gameplay videos. It includes a couple of quick videos from the Summer Circuit in Brooklyn, performance after the Pro-Am game and a look at the new playcalling system.
+1 never the same quality as playing on ur tv. Man check dem socks on the player in yellow @ 10 second mark. The dunk in traffic looked good IMHO. He dunked between 2 players, no on the if ur looking for the contact. He sounds are tidy also. Bring on the 15th!!!
The game looks good, BUT I absolutely hate the fact that EVERY jump ball warps back to the point guard. No bounce, no variation in the trajectory of the ball at all. I'm no developer and appreciate what they do, but how could they miss that?

Ok EA I can dig it. It's definitely night & day compared to last year. Still noticed some typical NBA Live legacy issues (animation stiffness, floaty passes, ball warping on dribbles, etc...) but you can definitely see that these guys are trying. The gap isn't as wide for the competition as it once was that's for sure. I won't be getting Live 16 mainly because I don't have time for 2 basketball games in my life lol. I will say that I'm impressed with what I saw. It honestly looks better than I thought it would. Keep it up EA & you can get back to your glory days when Live was on top!
As always, I worry about it being too easy to get to the rim with Live.
Pro Am looks good, I am just worried about 5 v 5...to 21. With 5v5 I would rather play with NBA rules. And timeouts, man timeouts come in handy if the team you are playing goes on a run.
I am definitely getting the demo to check out Pro AM, online is about all I play.
AI still needs work. What was number 8 doing on defense in the last clip? On a simple pick and roll play, he just leaves Kevin Durant wide open one pass away. LOL.
looks good. there is something not right with the way the arms and hands are..they tend to look like too stiff sometimes. like always in an L with the hands pointed. like old 64 graphics on perfect dark. however, it does look really good otherwise. like the playcalling system with multiple direction indicators.
CPU Defense = absolutely terrible. Who on earth leaves Durant WIDE open to clog the paint?
Same stuff as last year, where the "spacing" everyone talks about was often just dumb CPU AI.
I am strictly USER v CPU...really hoping this is not a sign of the new "help D".
If it makes you feel any better, I went into triple overtime against the CPU on All-Star, and was handed my rear end on a silver platter against the CPU on Superstar. They'll play much better defense, and the rotations are on point, but not psychic.
I think you'll appreciate what they've done this year once you play the demo.
