The sacks issue doesn't make sense to me. If all the online changes they made a month or so ago are now in offline CFM, then I really don't understand the issues. I've being doing an online solo CFM, and haven't had issues with sacks. It's seemed relatively normal to me. Nothing outrageous.

@ggsimmonds we looked extensively at that and did not find an issue. So sorry if you're mad

I am speechless.
So let's see the 3 top complaints about Madden were SIM stats, sacks and Owner Mode finances, each had huge threads to document the issues and displeasure of the customers.

In response EA fixes the stats, denies any issue with sacks and doesn't even acknowledge the 600+ post about the owner mode finances...1 out of 3, that's a good average, right?

The only other people I know that can be so inept at their jobs and still keep them are the weathermen.

If it was baseball they would be all stars.

But it is not baseball.

I agree with this statement.

What makes no sense is they patched the online sack issue and then said the offline issue would have to wait for a patch. Then they put out the patch, don't fix it and say "We didn't see an issue with sacks offline". REALLY!!!

My thoughts as well.

What I am wondering is that they have stated they use metrics tracked over games played to help identify problems. That is no help if the problem is limited to AI behavior. So their metrics tell them that sack numbers are fine.

To my knowledge they do not frequent these forums as much as in the past. The best avenue to report issues then may be twitter. That is not reliable in my opinion. for example immediately after my tweet someone asked Clint if QBs escaping too many sacks was fixed. They are getting conflicting reports.

I cannot speak to what they view as looking at something "extensively."

When did they fix the online stat issue?

I've been keeping track of online hot fixes to get an idea of what this patch would address and do not recall any fix for sacks outside of the tuner that was released with the week 1 roster update. And all that did was tune the chance for a user controlled rusher to beat his man

THis is what Im trying to make sense of. They said all fixes are now to offline mode that were made to online earlier. If that's the case, shouldn't offline play exactly how it has been online CFM?

and since that was a tuner, it came to everyone, offline and online, so everyone should have it unless the tuner was never installed, or deleted.

As far as simulation stats and keeping it as authentic to real life...it's an issue. Not going to sugar coat that.

But....all that being said things IMO get way too blown out of proportion. My advice is always play the game....play it a lot before passing judgement. And if after multiple games you still don't like it....no worries...trade it in. But there are those that are loving Madden 15 (cough me cough) and are dealing with the sack issue just fine. I would say there are games it can rear it's ugly head...and it is usually against pocket QB's with poor pocket presence (lower tier guys) and every now and then I have had some big sack games vs elite like guys in the pocket (Peyton and Tom) but they still went up top on me and nailed some big long TD passes. I have had so many games elite QB's have killed me deep. So this talk of they never go deep......not seeing it. I have played 45-50 games now between testing and CFM.....QB play is solid. And lower tier QB's really do suck when i get pressure on them. They make errant throws...and now with the patch it will be more evident.

Play the game a lot...then make your judgement. Everyone plays the game differently, everyone has different skill levels, stick skills, house rules.....whatever. There is no right or wrong opinion.......they are just that opinions. Some players are too good to play the CPU...and I see this in all sports game sub forums here. So take impressions with a grain of salt until you really cut your teeth in the game yourself.

So the sack issue can be really magnified...or minor...all depends on how you want to look at it. I think the game is way too much fun for me to harp and worry about getting 4-5 sack games with Cam Wake sometimes.....oh well. Guess I will get the sack record every year.

In year one I got the sack record with Wake.....I went 5-11. And had one of the worst defenses against the run.

In week 12 of year two...I am on another torrid pace with Wake again (as well as Jordan and Starks) but now my pass defense is down and my run defense has improved....I drafted a stud MLB but am starting a rookie CB and have an aging CB in Grimes. I won my first 7 games...now I have dropped 3 straight. For me the game has been a joy. The patch is exactly what I expected. Fix offline CFM, fix stability bugs (I can now start a 32 team offline CFM without the game screen hangup as I tested that first this morning before heading to the office), commentary bugs, defensive play clock being to quick to make your play selection and tune the AI (adaptive AI on defense tuned according to the notes). My opinion of course.....but I don't understand if your a Madden fan how you can't be superbly impressed with this game. It's easily the best one yet.

So take that for what it's worth.

On a side note I had the intro bug hit me once.....and I thought I had read that you just need to make sure you close the application when you exit out of the game and not to ever exit out and then go to shut down. it will corrupt your profile file if you do that. As long as you close the game application first then shut down your PS4 you should be fine. I have been doing that....and it has not ever happened since.

I would love to see any impressions of improved commentary and stat swipes of previous week stats not showing all zeros anymore.

I won't be able to dig into any game playing till 10PM EST

I'll be doing the same in a couple hours, I imagine a lot of people will.

all in all it is a good game but I would argue that I probably end up winning ~3 extra games a year because the AI QB takes drive killing sacks over and over again.

It takes the fun completely out of the game when it happens. I think it is worse because when it does not happen this is possibly the best game of football I ever played.

I can totally understand that. I have had a few games I no doubt was able to close out because I was able to get some insane coverage sacks. It is a wart. But like you said....quite possibly the best game of console football I have ever played....so it get's a pass this year as they made such a huge leap from last gen...it is really a stark contrast to PS3/360.....so hopefully next year it is addressed....and I pray they build on this new foundation and get WR/DB interactions as glorious as the OL/DL are now. To me for the first time since Madden 2002 the future looks so bright for the series.

Well, glad to see release notes. Glad to see the slim playcall mode. I'm definitely going to use that.

Was really hoping to see owner modes finances get adjusted. I didn't have a major problem in my first year with Miami, but I did win the Super Bowl and I went into the offseason with enough to sign my picks, a few free agents (nobody top tier thats for sure), and I re-signed some key guys. After that and my first preseason game in season 2(a road game), I was -3.94 million though. So, I was hoping to see that fixed, especially since I want to get my phins out of playing in that dump of a stadium, but at this rate, that's going to take a long time. hopefully my next preseason game is a home game, so I can see how much money I haul in now post patch to see if it's been helped some. If not, I guess it's coach mode from now on for me, which is good, but I dont want Philbin as my coach even in year one of a CFM

Going to have to go home, try and avoid FH2 tonight to try and get a few games in to check out Madden post patch.

Is there any stuttering issues on xbox one did it improve performance?

# 217 Wrubez @ 10/07/14 03:31 PM
So was suction tackling, in fact, addressed? Someone posted earlier that suction tacking looks to have been fixed. Can anyone confirm? That was (or still is depending on if it's truly fixed) my biggest concern of all. Nothing like salivating at a huge hole only to be warp-clotheslined to the turf lol. Speed burst should NOT equal automatic blockshed

I didn`t try it yet. At work. But i will when i get home. i believe it will be a placebo but i have no other thing to try. I really want to start my CFM, but i wont tolerate the crazy amount of sacks i get right now.
