NBA Live 15 News Post

IRB Gamer has posted their hands-on impressions of NBA Live 15. Other than mentioning a new free throw mechanic and Game Face not being included, there isn't much else here.

There is no mention of an early demo, which looked like a possibility from an article back in July. NBA Live 15 is scheduled to arrive for EA Access subscribers five days before release, which would give users six hours of gameplay, starting on October 23rd. If there is no demo, PlayStation 4 users will have no way of trying the game out, prior to purchase.

Feel free to give it a read and post your thoughts.

Sage it would have been nice to hear anything. Saying this write up fell short is a major understatement.

If ever there was a game that needed a demo.

And that article just screamed, "thanks for letting me play it before everyone else."

Wasn't expecting anything in-depth. But I want my 60 seconds back.

I noticed EA is very "selective" with who they give early access of the game to.

That doesn't bode well if you're confident in your product.

Yep I wish they would send it to OS already and other basketball gaming sites.

There wasn't a whole lot to this article, but I found two spots that have me interested:

Quote:
Dribble animations are much smoother in NBA Live 15 giving you better control and responsiveness. In addition, you can sense weight detection as you utilize certain players.
Hopefully this means they have solid footplanting and a good momentum system.

Quote:
It’s all well spotted as new camera angles bring the player closer to the court.
I'm interested to see what the new camera angles are, and if they fixed the frame rate issues with the old ones.

This is pathetic...then follows an access pass post.....

Marketing sure has changed
You read my mind man. EA has shady business practices, but they know how to get money out of gamers even though they were rated the worst company for two straight years. I think EA access was created to get more money out of gamers whether the games on it do well or poor. It's another way for them to profit, so gamers should have their awareness meter up with this EA access thing.

They already did it with NHL 15 and FIFA 15, though. Both have free demos and the 6-hour EA Access full game trial versions.

Man, I am excited! It seems like the very least that will come of this Live is creating competition in the basketball game market. Hopefully now 2K can stop handing us the same game over and over and make some innovative moves. NBA Live15 looks better and more realistic than 2K ever has based on the videos and screenshots and now this article saying it plays better too! The one bummer, 3 weeks is just about enough time to forget about something if you're happy with what you have. That EA access will basically make or break this years game, to bad it's only available to us on Xbox One...

One of the big defenses against conspiracy theories is you can't keep everyone quiet, someone would have talked by now. Yes you can, exhibit A live 15. EA is in full control of what, when and how info gets out.

Live just doesn't seem like a next-gen game to me.. Maybe if they would have started out focusing on current gen they could have transitioned more smoothly to next-gen.. Just my thought about Live 14 & everything we've seen/heard about 15 so far

Hmmm Screenshots look good but I wouldn't say they're better overall

As far as the gameplay we've seen... Im sleep

Have been saying for two months they wouldnt do an early demo. I gave it no chance that they would show the final product off with no restrictions like that, THAT early.

I don't mind there not being a focus on game face and a career for a created player because they want to improve the gameplay first. Understood. Ultimate team should replace that for the fun but we all will be getting 2k for mycareer no doubt. I'm just glad this game is not trying to copy anybody. Staying in it's own lane and thinking about making high quality sim-gameplay first

39 more days and no major details except for new Free Throw Mechanics.....There's Evil Afoot.

So let me get this straight out of all the gaming sites in the world IRB Gamer is the site EA picked to do the hands-on really? Something is not right here I mean there top poster in there forum has 138 posts and he works for them, there are 388 members on that site and over 600,000 on OS if they wanted the fans to see this they could have picked a way better site to do the hands-on that's all I'm saying.

Something fishy is in the mist again. This weird mismanagement of this game has become to repetitive. Word of mouth is not going to save this game unless the gameplay is groundbreaking!

I mean I think live was gaining some type momentum it was slow but it was still gaining with the screenshots and the trailer I felt like if they were about to open up about the game...then BAM! delayed but instead of showing your fan base you have everything handled you start doing shady things again. A blog about sneakers really? Honestly that should have been the first thing they showed, so we really don't know much detail about the game and you wanna show sneakers? Then you have this suspect hands-on from a site nobody knows of that didn't tell us anything but no face scan and new free throw mechanics. Listen I'm not even a live fan but as a diehard basketball fan I wanna see what the game has to offer but I'm tired of the excuses and the smoke and mirrors that EA does and honestly it scares me because I really feel like they are hiding something I could be wrong in all this but EA is gonna have to prove that to me because their past track record won't allow me to give them a pass this time and this they didn't have a lot of time excuse is not going to work for this game not after all the content and modes 2K is putting in their game. Sorry for the rant had to get that off my chest or say it with my chest lol but it is time for EA to show and prove

Even if that's the case once 2K comes out and all the face scan videos come out on YouTube the casual gamer the guy who is on the fence about getting live or 2k once they see that and all the modes and content 2K has guess what they are gonna pick up and live needs more than their hardcore fanbase to pick up this game in order to survive they need to get the guy on the fence. I really feel like this is a make or brake year for live EA is losing to much money on this game

If we get a demo 1 week after 2k ,Oct 14, would be a good time to release it followed by the 6 hour EA access on Oct 23 and finally the Game on the 28th

But Who knows
