NBA 2K14 Next-Gen TV Spot

The NBA 2K14 next-gen TV spot is live, with a new look at the next-generation of NBA 2K. The video shows off LeBron James in some insanely atmospheric lighting and then cuts to several gameplay sequences. A pretty exciting, although limited, look at the next generation of 2K basketball.

I am just now seeing the video that was referred to. That looks NOTHING close to Next Gen 2k. AND that's after heavy use of post process effects which isn't representative of live gameplay.

It's pretty and stylistic, but harsh and a bit rough. NO cyber face or scene in that clip makes you question if it's real even for a moment.

Net Gen 2K lighting is on the level of The Show or better, which is a high accolade.

Now I can only imagine some of the videos that will get made with Next Gen 2K.

Yes, yes, yes, people the classic and Euroleague teams have already been confirmed for next-gen. Hoping they give better era specific cyberfaces for the retro teams.

That Shady video is nice and that pc modder really did a heck of a job with LBJ's cyberface, but that **** ain't touching the next-gen reveal in lighting and skin texture.

Just gotta say, (again) DAMN!!!!!! November 22, please get here already......

The graphics is sick but if sliding, warping, and contact isn't fixed it does nothing for me. Fingers crossed tho

Im still taking a wait and see approach to both games, EA is trying to create something new & unproven and 2K, 10+ years into the series, gave us unblockable dunks and broken game modes last year... Trying to look past the hype.

A couple people in this thread clarified for me that LeBron in the beginning was a mix of real life LeBron and video game James.

When the digital teleportation effect appears on LeBron's body, he's "transforming" into video game James.

One nitpick. There's a notable lack of detail on the arms. Can't see much veinage or forearm muscles when this was in 2K11.

This sort of arm detail isn't very prominent in next gen 2k but are present in other current and next gen games.

EA gave us 0 dunks and 0 game modes the last 3 years. Come on.

If there's hype that needs to be looked past, it firmly lies with the other franchise.

i have pc version and beast PC.. but no mods on 2k13 can even come close to nextgen version of 2k14... only game thats almost there would be 2k11, but still cant replicate the lighting of 2k14 nextgen
