With the new hard cuts, maybe we'll actually be able to run like Barry Sanders this year!

I thought it was Faulk?
Either way I remember whenever the Skins played the Lions it was nerve racking as at any given time you knew Barry could go all the way.

That's because of the year ahead philosophy, most likely....

As for this cover, I thought he deserved it and said it weeks ago. Nothing against AP because that dude is a beast but Barry is just more fondly remembered and his status is legendary.

Oh, I watched some of that nonsense on Sports Nation by accident. Just happened to bump into it right at 8pEST. So turrbull and then caught that run free trailer. Wtf was that?? And where is the blog for the playbook on their site???

What does whoever is on the cover have to do with playing the game? I'm a die hard Lions fan but I didn't buy Madden 13. My only concern is gameplay.

Congrats to the only player that could turn a 10 yd loss into a highlight film lol

I do agree. Although i wouldve rather seen ap on the cover and not sanders(has nothing to do that hes a lion) but in the end cover doesnt matter. An all black cover with only the nfl logo will do to.
Ea only uses the cover and cover vote for commercial reasons

Also a big LOL @ the outrage of the cover and how it effects the game.

Yeah, because they guy designing the cover in Photoshop is really the end all be all of a video game. Smh

Madden has a LOT more problems they need to worrying about aside from the cover athlete.

I am hoping there will be classic teams in this game

Who better emulated the 'cat and mouse' chase than Barry? The man performed like a joystick on the gridiron. *I just hope the run-free jazz is a joy on the sticks.

Humm, was the voting fixed, lol. As soon as they announced their new feature, "Run free" i figured it was going to be a running back and the only guy on that list was Barry

I thought this way for a min too until i thought about Peyton Hillis making the cover a few years back, so more then likely just a coincidence.

Sanders opened up the Draft yesterday with a copy of the Madden 25 cover in his hand...in case anyone was wondering if the NFL/EA partnership is going anywhere anytime soon.

Barry Sanders. Awesome. If he would have just joined Miami instead of retiring, he and Danny boy would have rings!
