Welcome to the OS Mega Roster Project! I created this project so people can have REAL life NBA 2K12 gameplay. I strive for gameplay accuracy and I have done countless hours of testing in this area.

What is edited in this roster?
Ratings (By: Paul Pierce and Slimm44):

Ratings are not overall based, I never go by overall when editing players because I want the gameplay to be 100% realistic. Ratings are from data from the last three seasons expect for shooting ratings which are based off the current NBA season.These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Tendencies (Paul Pierce, Hyperballer and Slimm44):

Tendencies are what you can call a "mixed bag". Slimm44 edited the tendencies on his PC roster then I used them as a base for this roster. Hyperballer Provided the dribble tendencies to help provide realistic dribbling animations.These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Animations (1rose, Paul Pierce, Hyperballer):

As you can see we have tons of people who worked with the animation edits. We used 1Rose's sig shot edits in our roster from the signature shot thread. We used hyperballer's dribble animation edits for realistic dribbling animations. And I edited some of the free throw and sig shot edits to my own liking. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Contracts (EagleRock562 and Paul Pierce):

Contracts were done from EagleRocks website that you can find here. I simply applied them and took away one year so that contracts are ready for the 2012-2013 season. I also edited +1 year for bird rights and years pro as well.

Accessories (Perry Price):

Accessories are from Perry Prices Sim 2 the maxx roster that can also be found on OS. He edited accessories from the last time we saw these teams and he has allowed me to use the valuable edits in my roster!

Playbooks (Vannwolfhawk):

Playbooks are from vann's popular playbook edits. They help teams play as realistic as they can. Vann tried to add how teams run Pick and rolls, cuts, screens and many other facets to the game with these edits. These were a huge help in making the gameplay great.

Player Movement (Weeks):

Weeks is what I like to call a player movement guru. He follows twitter and many other outlets to get the latest player movement. Another person I would like to thank for this is dj123456705 he constantly posts on my thread on player movement, I can't thank him enough for it.

2012 Rookies (Vtcrb):
I used vtcrb's draft class to get my 2012 first rounders. Other then faces, draft info and other minor details EVERY 2012 rookie is from vtcrb's draft class.

Rookie CAP's (Hulyan):

Hulyan has created the whole first round, including some second rounders faces (The rest of the players faces were as is on vtcrb's draft class). Hulyan is probably the best cap maker around and he did an excellent job on the faces.

Staff Edits (PJT8450):
Staff edits are by PJT8450! He edited staff so that all teams have their head coaches, assistant coaches and many other staff members correct. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Yeah, as long as you don't care about a few collages being incorrect It would be fine.

The Association part of the roster is the part getting the revamp in the next update.

cool. i dont play association nor season mode nor black top nor none of that. I stick to 12 min Quick Play games.

Are you fixing the duplicate players people have been mentioning and if not are you going to name all of them so we can lower them all to 25? Also did you replace the NJ Nets with the Brooklyn Nets? Thanks

What are you talking about? Slimms gameplay was the only thing I EVER used. Otherwise everything was my roster, He is on PC anyways I can't just take his roster as a base. Anyways yes all gameplay as the same as always.

has anyone noticed some players only have 1 or no play types? i was wondering why the auto playcall kept calling the same pick & roll for 2 quarters and then looked and realized half of my players only had p&r ball handler as their play type if any at all

yes most PG's have the PNR Play type as their first play type. I would not go auto call if you want to see variety.

Eagle rock is a file for both I'm likely will be on my 360 tommrow editing! Haven't played since the 6th of last month.

Just re read your post, Yeah most Points have the PNR as their first and only play type, this was to help their be more PNR with the CPU. The players that have no player type don't get touches or are catch and shoot or lob players (They just catch and finish).

I was skimming and thought I saw you had used a different roster, my bad for skimming, just tired of reading everything wrong with the roster lol

No gameplay is the same as all the other rosters. I don't care if you skim the roster. I just keep getting annoying **** people send me PM's over dumb **** like making cyberfaces on 360 or doing something dumb as hell thinking I can do it. I'm not talking about you but if you were a member of the project you would understand why I'm so frustrated. This is the busiest time of year for me, I'm about to go on a trip in 2 days were I'm going to be gone all summer... and then I get some dumb *** PM about making a cyberface (which can only be done on PC) OR doing something so dumb that dose not make ANY sense at all. Sorry just had to vent lol.

ah ok cool, i gotta learn how to remember to manually use plays now

Well I could put the plays back the way they were to be more user friendly, It just helps the CPU play more realistically, ex. Teams are not going to Chukwudiebere Maduabum as their #1 or #2 PNR option on the floor.

nah i think it would be cool to use them manually for once, i just never even thought of that as a reason.. i was yelling at doug collins because we ran the same p&r for iggy 6 times in a row lol .

I would mix up freelance with set plays, Most of my offense comes from the post and PNR.But I don't always run a play every time down.

Oh no dude, I totally get it. My entire job revolves around people nitpicking my programming... I totally understand where you're coming from haha. Honestly, you're the friendliest roster maker I've spoken to(which isn't much on this site). Anyway, not to bug you, but any chance I could get my hand on that sonics replace the thunder roster? :-D lol.

Sorry about my last comment if you saw it I read what you said wrong.

I'm going to release a developers edit after the next release with that added in.

Yo Pierce, i dunno if this is even possible, im not a roster editor but is there a way to just make a Myplayer release w/ your gameplay intact without the glitches like myplayer clones and proper stat tracking, from most of the rosters ive seen, its a one or the other.. I just want to somehow get your gameplay and playbook tweaks, is there a way to dumb down other things just for myplayer? Other rosters i downloaded have weak teammate or weak opponent AI.. Mainly what i like about your rosters are the bump detection on the Cpu and play types. im lazy i use auto playcall lol

I could do something like that, you would have to start a MP on the official roster DO NOT PLAY A NBA GAME and send it to me. I would do it for you. I can even make him on the heat if you want.
