Welcome to the OS Mega Roster Project! I created this project so people can have REAL life NBA 2K12 gameplay. I strive for gameplay accuracy and I have done countless hours of testing in this area.

What is edited in this roster?
Ratings (By: Paul Pierce and Slimm44):

Ratings are not overall based, I never go by overall when editing players because I want the gameplay to be 100% realistic. Ratings are from data from the last three seasons expect for shooting ratings which are based off the current NBA season. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Tendencies (Paul Pierce, Hyperballer and Slimm44):

Tendencies are what you can call a "mixed bag". Slimm44 edited the tendencies on his PC roster then I used them as a base for this roster. Hyperballer Provided the dribble tendencies to help provide realistic dribbling animations. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Animations (1rose, Paul Pierce, Hyperballer):

As you can see we have tons of people who worked with the animation edits. We used 1Rose's sig shot edits in our roster from the signature shot thread. We used hyperballer's dribble animation edits for realistic dribbling animations. And I edited some of the free throw and sig shot edits to my own liking. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Contracts (EagleRock562 and Paul Pierce):

Contracts were done from EagleRocks website that you can find here. I simply applied them and took away one year so that contracts are ready for the 2012-2013 season. I also edited +1 year for bird rights and years pro as well.

Accessories (Perry Price):

Accessories are from Perry Prices Sim 2 the maxx roster that can also be found on OS. He edited accessories from the last time we saw these teams and he has allowed me to use the valuable edits in my roster!

Playbooks (Vannwolfhawk):

Playbooks are from vann's popular playbook edits. They help teams play as realistic as they can. Vann tried to add how teams run Pick and rolls, cuts, screens and many other facets to the game with these edits. These were a huge help in making the gameplay great.

Player Movement (Weeks):

Weeks is what I like to call a player movement guru. He follows twitter and many other outlets to get the latest player movement. Another person I would like to thank for this is dj123456705 he constantly posts on my thread on player movement, I can't thank him enough for it.

2012 Rookies (Vtcrb):
I used vtcrb's draft class to get my 2012 first rounders. Other then faces, draft info and other minor details EVERY 2012 rookie is from vtcrb's draft class.

Rookie CAP's (Hulyan):

Hulyan has created the whole first round, including some second rounders faces (The rest of the players faces were as is on vtcrb's draft class). Hulyan is probably the best cap maker around and he did an excellent job on the faces.

Staff Edits (PJT8450):
Staff edits are by PJT8450! He edited staff so that all teams have their head coaches, assistant coaches and many other staff members correct. These edits ALSO extend to classic teams.

Special Thanks List:
Steve_OS: For mentioning my roster on the first page
vtcrb: Letting use his 2012 rookies and making the roster compatible with every draft class on this site.
Gausec: For creating some of the missing player CAPs
Hyperballer: Dribble Edits

Two questions about the Bobcats. There's a DJ Augustin on the Bobcats, but there's also one on the Pacers (as there should be). When I try to waive the Augustin from the Bobcats, a 2nd DJ Augustin appears. Any idea what causes this? This is true if I edit the roster, or wait until I'm in an Association.

2nd question - Corey Maggette shows up as a Detroit Piston, even though he's on the Bobcats roster. It won't let me trade him - if I try to initiate one, it shows up as a trade originating from Detroit, even though I'm playing as the Bobcats. Am I stuck with that ball hog until his contract is up?
1. Fixed that in the next update.
2. Corey got traded to the pistons, I fixed that as well.

Aaron Brooks signs with the Sacramento Kings. The deal averages $3.3 million on a two-year deal, player option in the second year.

Raptors deal James Johnson to Sacramento for a future second-round pick.

Hassan Whiteside has been waived by the Sacramento Kings.

Thanks! Posts like these really help me keep the roster updated as I work on the finishing touches of the update!

Just a heads up, the Nets now have Jerry Stackhouse, CJ Watson, and Keith Bogans all for the vets minimum.

The amount he'll be making during those years is the veteran minimum.

As for the sliders, What do you mean? Thank you.
Yep this is probably the only way.

Now I realize, that I asked a stupid question. I thought about editing sliders save file. But if it is really possible, you can edit only custom sliders there. So question is withdrawn)

I tried to lower 3pt shots in coach profiles but no effect. Coach profiles don't have any connection with myplayer gameplay?

Can't wait for the next update! These are great rosters!

What I like the most is that you and rondo use different approaches.. you tend to "lower everyone's overall" (i know, I read your explanation, no problems to me), and rondo tends to "raise everyone's overall", and both end up being great! haha!

Thanks for the hard work!

(there were some problems with the rotations for me.. some teams had like -33 minutes alocated, hahaha)

OJ mayo dallas maverickThe exact terms of Mayo's deal were not known, but it is a two-year deal with a player option in the second year. The Mavs had about $4 million in cap space remaining

The Lakers can only sign Jamison to the $3.09 million taxpayer mid-level exception or the veteran minimum. The Lakers also have interest in Grant Hill, but Hill may look elsewhere if Jamison gets the exception.

Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to send shooting guard Wayne Ellington to the Memphis Grizzlies for forward Dante Cunningham.
Ellington makes $2.08 million, which is the fourth season of his rookie-scale contract, and Cunningham is set to earn $2.09 million. Cunningham's contract includes a team option for 2013-14.

RUMORS
And David Aldridge of NBA.com adds: "The Wizards are leaning toward using the amnesty provision by Tuesday's deadline to waive Blatche, according to league sources. ... Reached late Monday afternoon, team president Ernie Grunfeld was noncommittal, texting, 'we shall see. We have 24 hours.' "

"Hearing Nuggets seriously discussing amnestying Chris "Birdman" Andersen. Has 2 years, $9M left on contract

Diop doesn't have a future with the team and the removal of his $7.37 million salary makes sense. The Bobcats could amnesty Matt Carroll, however his salary is only $3.5 million for 2012-13.
If the Bobcats don't use it on Diop or Carroll, it like means they'll designate Tyrus Thomas in 2013 or 2014.

Some of my pointers that Paul Pierce should look at (In my opinion)
Missing some foriegn players but I really dont know which ones
Missing some players from the summer league games that I think should be in the free agency
add Jamal Tinsley to the Jazz
add Lance Thomas to the Hornets
you need to edit MWP he at least a 65 you need to put his mid & 3 ball backup
John Lucas III should have a better rating then that. He had carrer year. He should be at least 63 and he can shoot the ball way better then that
Gallinari has a better mid range then 64
Stuckey has a better mid range then 68
Manu has a better mid range then 68
Kawhi has a better mid & 3 ball & handles
Need to edit Gerald Green face he looks like Eric Maynor
Kyle Singler edit mid & 3ball
Edit Nado De Colo.he a combo guard 6'5 200
Edit Hollis Thompson face he looks like Jarett Jeffries
Brandon Roy need to be at least 75 or 76 and he has excellent D
Edit Draymond Green face he looks like Brandon Bass
you should take out McDyess & Donyell Marshell & Yao Ming

There have been a few reports that Minnesota will sign power forward Jordan Hill and give center Greg Stiemsma an offer sheet if Portland retains Nicolas Batum

Paul I would suggest Updating the 1st post of this thread with the Most recent Roster, etc for people to download. I think this would cut down on confusion as to which file to download.
