"NCAA Football 12 takes the journey of the college athlete to the next level of depth and authenticity. Experience the pride and pageantry of gameday Saturday with all new enhanced in-game presentation, traditions and school specific crowd celebrations. Make an impact on the field as your team takes down your heated rival on the road to the National Championship."
Amazons statement is almost identical to the same boasts that surrounded NCAA 11. I wonder if they have just made a few comments about the game based on the direction of last years title as opposed to any solid facts.
Is it some sort of reflex now, totally involuntary? Every year its more of the same with people like this. You obviously didn't play NCAA 11, otherwise you wouldn't be saying that gameplay needs to be fixed, you're just saying this because you think it's the cool thing to say on every article of every sports game ever.
Uh, did you SIM defense in every game you ever played, or do you really think that zone defenses are that ineffective, linebackers can play run and pass (at the same time), and every defender always knows where the ball is at all times regardless of play action fakes or sight lines? Defense was terrible in this year's game. The problems I listed are the tip of the iceberg, don't even get this forum started on jumping linebackers, psychic corners, comatose safeties, and complete ineffectiveness of play action against computer comtrolled defenders.
I would much rather they fix the pass coverage and OL/DL interaction, than any sort of presentation issue(s) that doesn't affect the actual gameplay. They may have, but is yet to be determined. Not a whole lot of information in that paragraph.
As someone else said they say presentiation every year and in the ends never anything major so I'm not gonna get to excited yet. But they already show highlights at the end of the game so it shouldn't be to much trouble to just make those highlights into some kinda of weekly recap show like gameday final. They could even use generic lines like here is the top 5 heisman list then show the screen thats already in the game.
This I gotta see. Presentation is an area EA neglects in ALL of their titles.
CHURCH.
Presentation is more than just overlays (although they still struggle with these in Madden 11) and ESPN wipes. It's commentary, camera angles, and a host of other aspects that complete the package. We'll see.
I am so incredibly sick of the same people always saying "screw presentation, they need to focus on only gameplay and only that"
You do realize they can do both right?
Y'all say that for every game...It's so annoying.
Yea. They make it seem like there is only one team that works on Presentation/Audio and Gameplay. There are multiple teams that work on different things. There is a Presentation/Audio team. There is a Gameplay team. There is a Dynasty/RTG team. There is a Online team.
Well we now have 8 weeks left until the "No-Change" date and it's still "Too Early" for the Developement team to interact with the community.
After responding to one of my post, I asked that Dev if we would see NCAA 11 rehashed with basically visual upgrades.
Never got a response back. Responed to several questions after mine, but not this one.
Unless a New Game Engine will be the big news, there's little to nothing gameplay wise they can do on the current game engine. It's maxed out!!!
That's why we've been getting gameplay tuning year after year, but never a change.
But hey, folks will still drop $60 on visual upgrades and act like they got something new.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
BTW, history has shown that some still shot photos that gets you all bubbly inside, should be comming down the pipe soon.

I do have to agree with you on the Photo part. That one picture will get a lot of people going. But hey, give it to EA for making the game look great. Im not having GREAT expectations for this game to improve so I wont be disappointed like many other people.
I'm so happy that they are working on the crowds finally but I would love to see student sections and my number one on my wish list; the ability to build bigger stadiums after a dynasty is born. AD mode #1.
This thread is pure gold. feel like I should contribute.
I'm sick of the same people saying focus on presentation when the gameplay is painfully aweful without excessive slider adjustments and testing and even then only so much can be done. Also I am sick of equipment heads seemingly out voicing the simulation football fans.
I don't feel like quoting but kudos to the guy that actually understands that there are multiple "teams" within a development team, though I'm not sure your divisions are correct. That seems like a few too many.

As someone stated already, unless there is a new engine created, there wont be big upgrades in the game play like people want. you will continue to see small things. So presentation is what takes peoples minds off the horrible gameplay. Maybe if people lower their expectations then they wouldnt be so highly disappointed with the Game or gameplay.
