Madden NFL 11 News Post

It all started with Smashman hearing Gus Johnson in the Drew Brees announcement trailer. Then even more heads started to turn with him involved in the recent Madden NFL 11 exclusive debut trailer.

Check out the details from Gamestop on the PSP version of Madden NFL 11. Surely this can't be just a PSP exclusive, right? Big thanks to @esilk5 for the keen eyes.

This probably all but seals it.

Update: Gamestop removed the Gus Johnson text, but we still have it here, if you missed it.

So is it official that Hammond is out?

Even more proof (though there pretty much was enough already)... the description list on gamestop's site for the psp version has just been replaced with the description list for last year's game.

Hopefully he translates well to a videogame. Definitely should be a big improvement over Hammond though. I like it.

I hope so to. Collinsworth was pretty worthless.

I didn't like Collinsworth's repetition, but I thought the his flow was excellent. If they can find a way to make it more dynamic, it could be a great pairing.

This actually happened when Chris Johnson lined up at Wide Receiver and no one covered him back in Week 2

Hell yes! I HATED Hammond. Gus is my favorite commentator(moreso for College Basketball, but he's still damn good in the NFL). Hopefully he's as good in Madden as he is in real life.

He'll be replacing Hammond.. not Collinsworth. It'll be Gus and Collinsworth. I actually don't mind Collinsworth at all. I absolutely hated Hammond though.

Note- the only commentator i heard in the videos were gus johnson. i didn't recall collinsworth. since the game is still in alpha, presentation isn't final(it looked like 10) so maybe cbs presentation?????

Real life network presentation shouldn't really be discussed at all in terms of coming to Madden.

If the NFL (network) doesn't want ESPN in the game and vice versa, I'm pretty sure they don't want any other networks either.

Just saying it to save disappointment.

Well I personally am 85-90% sure we will see some sort of Network Integration.

I say this because If you watch the new '11 gameplay stuff it has the same overlays from last year on there. Madden has never kept overlays 2 years ina row, they change them up. I feel like they are using last years to keep this years a secret, unless its network presentation, why would they need a secret?

Bingo! I was about to mention this myself. I'm pretty sure they aren't going to keep the same overlays because they never do. Every Madden, not just next-gen, has had a new look to it, and NEVER the same for two or more years in a row.
