Later bro
Good matches tonight. In the first one I was messing around when I went to my corner and threw those headbutts. I was concerned because you darted at me and I thought I almost hit you.

You got me twice. You know in the first, the two times you stunned me my health was depleted fully. I had no chance. The second fight I got impatient, but thought for sure you'd I'd get the TKO.

Yea good fights tonight man.

The first one was with my WC middle weight guy. He is built for power on the inside. Not much range, more of a brawler type. So I worked on getting inside and forcing missed punches to land big counters. I was not expecting a 2nd round KO though.

Second fight using Kelly Pavlik is a completely different style. I tried and use his jab and connect with 2 or 3 jabs to the face working on dealing damage and less on looking for the KO. I was expecting a stoppage judging by your guys left eye. I was comfortable in the first thru three rounds. Then I got into a bad situation with damage my self and spent the entire rest of the fight putting points only to keeping it out the red. Going multiple rounds with no points to stamina really took a toll on my guy. The last two or three rounds we fought, I thought for sure I lost. I was damaged badly, low health and even lower stamina.

I just sat back and started trying to pick my shots and focus on getting hit less. I started getting your rhythm with the Jab low then come high and I managed to land a couple key counters deep into the fight which surprised the hell out of me to see you go down.

Your middle weight guy has tons of range. I noticed when I was outside on him he would land with deadly accuracy(100 punch accuracy helps lol). Once I got inside on you though, those long arms made you pay and I would get multiple counter windows. I think that is what killed you with the first guy, tons of power on the inside. Where Pavlik is more of a range fighter with less power. So a lot more counters were just bouncing off you. Took it deep into the fight before one had enough power to hurt you.

I know you hurt me a few times and barely managed to survive in the second fight. I was down to a hair of a bue line left and managed to fight off the flurry. Great fights man. Enjoyed them .

Look forward doing it again bro.

Cool, thanks for letting me know. I don't see why it wouldn't have been fixed in the PS3 too.

It appears that they fixed the legacy cheat after the tournament. Can anyone else confirm this?

hey guys i had a quick question

when you refer to patch#2 are you talking about dlc2? Because Ive been hearing a lot of talk about how dlc2 for x360 is pushed back until january. I want to know will i be able to have the gameplay updates now or if they are part of dlc2 and i will have to wait until next year?

No from what I understand the gameplay updates are live. But the DLC is pushed back. Can anyone else verify? I don't have a 360, but this is my understanding.

It's pushed back for the 360 correct, but live for the PS3?

The 2nd patch has given this game so much more playability for me. Never before did I think I'd go 10 rounds with a body spammer and almost win. I have noticed a new scheme with these guys though. They are now backing off to the point that you have to chase them around and then they body jab in rapid succession. After about 5 rounds they go to their roots, body spamming.

However, I have created a spreadsheet where I type in the username of my opponents and sort them by category. I have Abuser, Competitive and Quitter. When I go into WC mode I open my laptop and make sure the guys I fight are positive experiences. Matches last pretty long now, making time of the essence. It's just not worth going up against people that are going to ruin your experience.

Are you on the PS3 or 360? If you're on Xbox Live, there is the option of feedback after each match. I choose "avoid player" for ealry quitters or people who play like overall morons. There's also "prefer player" for players you feel are playing the way you enjoy. Just an FYI that the option is there so you wouldn't have to do it manually (unless you prefer it).

Any 360 owners that want to play sometime, my gamertag is "jsimas74". I'm always looking for sim matches.

I do the same thing. From the looks of it the system works as designed.

I do that and it does work. I like having their name in front of me too so it brings up some memory of who they are.

That's a really good idea. You should post this spreadsheet!

I have fought three guys online and it is light years better. There is still some punch/block spamming, spinning and hay-spamming (sometimes all in one fight), but it is def. beatable now.

My first fight was my edited Liston (88 ovr) vs. a 6'8" Bruce Lee CAB. He spun and threw a lot of haymakers until he got tired of my jab and quit.

The second was a RJJ vs. Calzagne. This guy took Joe C. and intermittently spun and block flicked, but not so long it affected his stamina. I lost by decision.

The 3rd guy was in WC mode and he mostly spammed, which wasn't an issue. I am just rusty and still learning to adapt to the PS3 controls. He was ahead on all cards 8 rounds to 1 when I took an intentional DQ to take my dog out. It sounds like a cop out, but when she tells you 'I need to pee', you better get moving!

The jab works better, not enough but better, and there are still people averaging 90+ punches a rouns, but not without a penalty. I give this patch a huge thumbs up.

Well last night I crossed a cheese move in WC that made me want to break this guys legs. I am not positive on how he built his fighter. But I am just guessing all his points went to head movement and any other attribute that helps with the counter windows.

He literally hit me with ONLY counter window shots the whole match. Not only was it often but it was almost every single punch I threw would open up a counter punch window for him. Like I said I did not look over his ratings but all I can say is I have NEVER faced something like this.

It was crazy. It got to the point where I just ran from him for like 3 rounds throwing no punches just to frustrate him. Basically a stab at him for making such a boring excuse of a fighter. This guy was even getting counter window shots on me when I even through body punches. It was one of the stupidest things I have ever seen.

My other 4 or 5 matches were great. Some spammers that went down easy after a few rounds of them wasting punches and a couple sim guys. All in all for having the game so long and this is one of the few cheese things I have come across of. I am happy with the patch so far.
was the guy wearing red and grey

Hey gentlemen, I really hate to ask, but I can't look through the whole thread. Is the game better now from the patches? I only played it pre patch. I liked it, but it lacked a lot. Im thinking about buying it now and just wanted to see if its worth it. Thanks!

It depends on what your definition of lacking is. The patch didn't "add anything" just tweaked the gameplay a bit. If your looking for new manager modes, better boxer customization, or a change in the way legacy mode works, keep walking.

If you hated fighting spammers online and wished they had fixed it then plop it in and enjoy.

It's a steal for 20$ at best buy.
