NBA 2K9 Patch Arrives on 12/3 For PS3, Coming Soon For 360

The highly anticipated patch for NBA 2K9 will arrive for the PS3 on December 3rd. Xbox 360 owners will have to wait, but it shouldn't be far behind.

some stats for the cpu im portland the cpu is utah

utah stats after 3 quaters

fg - 23/39
fg%- 48%
3pt- 10/14
3pt%- 68%
points in paint- 13 (for utah r u freaking kidding me !!!!!)

now to find a new slider set i put the 3pt tend at 10 and they still jack up 3's

and the RROD warranty expired when the NXE update was released. Damn Microsoft was slick

Currently (Pre-Patch) many of us have tested and discovered that post off/def is different this year than years past.

How does it work then?

Wow. No news, no news, no news. BOOM patch. Gotta love it. I think that's what 2k wanted. Us to all go into a frenzy and then surprise us with a patch while we're all talking about them dropping the ball on this one and not patching the game. I still don't think it was a great move to be so quiet about it, but at least we have it.

The only patch info that I've read is that a couple people with the PAL version have the patch. Is it live for everyone on 360 now? Or just the people that own the PAL version or what? How are the backdoor cuts now? I gotta wait a couple hours to get it. Is the computer still alley ooping like crazy?

On paper, it looks like a great patch that really singled out a ton of issues and corrected them. But clearly the response isn't so great right now. I'll post my findings when I get the patch in an hour or two.

2K Cam is not smooth at all for me with Auto Flip on. It lags every time I go to inbound it or the possession changes.

Couple funny notes from my most recent 4my Xbox experience. Sorry to be off topic, but funny stuff

-Warranty is still active for RRoD
-They actually refer to it as the Red Rings of Death. She said that. HAHAHAHAHA! It's the official term now
-They don't send the white box anymore, but they do pay for shipping still

all 360 owners should have it once u turn the game on if you have an association the patch will change the gameply utah is now a three point shooting team after the patch cj miles scored 52 pts for them in a loss the team shot 52% from the 3 point line im using nogsters tendencies playing on allstar

Which arena, and do you have it installed on your HD?

I played in the Staples center without any stuttering with the 2K cam.

Can someone check to see if the defensive switching isn't still out of order. Especially away from the ball.

One way you can check is to go in tutorials and do the post defense challenge. After a missed shot, if the guard tries to check the big man then, it might still be broken. Not sure if 2K got the memo on this bug

That might be conditional. I think there was a point where they were covering any and all system failures. From the sound of the woman on the line, they'll fix your system if it qualifies as "general hardware failure". They have a whole new policy and system for it, so it's definitely still active. I'm on my 2nd system and it's only a year old, so if there was anything preventing me from getting a free fix, that would have put me over the top anyway. But even before I mentioned that she didn't show any hesitation in fixing my system.

I don't use Autoflip or Key Zoom on the 2K cam. I'm playing a game on default sliders right now.

thank you so much sj. I have wireless internet shared between my roomates and neighbors so I have to wait until I can go physically hook my xbox up to the modem and download it. I refuse to pay $100 for the wireless adapter for my 360. I barely ever go onto live unless it's for important stuff like this patch.

So CJ miles scored 52 points on you? Wow. I played the Lakers a couple days ago and Kobe scored 8 on 4-9 shooting. While Derek Fisher had 22 points on 10-22 shooting. It was kind of baffling. While I don't think it's unrealistic for Fisher to score 22 points. I definitely found it unrealistic that Kobe would only shoot 9 times in a game that his team was losing. I wound up winning by like 19 points because Fisher and Walton took the majority of their shots. Luke wound up with 12 points on 4-18 shooting. Very random game.

So if CJ Miles dropped 52 points on you, I'm definitely a bit worried. I realize that wasn't something that was addressed in the patch notes. But still.

So Utah is basically just jacking up 3's all game? Are they taking any mid range shots as well or just 3's? I feel bad for the guys that did tendencies and sliders because it didn't appear as though a patch was on the horizon. And here we are and that basically negates all their work.

In your view what needs to be changed that can be changed with sliders and tendency edits?

So DC did you even read the things they said they fixed with the patch?

I have seen low shooting percentages on pro default sliders. 2k cam is not laggy or jumpy or whatever else you want to call it. I am not seeing as many backdoor passes. And they shoot more jumpers now.

They told you what would be in it but you keep saying why is something else not fixed. We get your point on how you feel about the game by now. Most of us got it about 10 posts ago. If you say I still get high percentages from the cpu then cool, but this stuff you are coming up with is ridiculous.

nogster had an excellent set of sliders and player team tendencies changes the cpu was playing a tough game and teams was playing like their real life counterparts now i think what needs to be done is a new set of sliders/player tendencies/ team tendicies change nogsters had the game playing perfect.

Am I crazy or am I the only one with a PS3 that didn't get a patch and also noticed that the patch isn't going to be until 12/3 ???
