I thought 20 was ok but not great. What have they changed in 22 on ps4? I thought that maybe since the ps4 is on its last leg that they may not have changed much and focused on the next gen systems. Is it worth getting if i have mlb 20?
Haven't played the show since mlb the show 20. Is 22 a lot different?

Re: Haven't played the show since mlb the show 20. Is 22 a lot different?
hugely different. the Indians were removed from the game. got some expansion team to replace them.
the Gardens? Guarantees? some such or another
also, Vasgersian out, Boog in. liked Matt but Boog is great as well. I wasn't sure I'd warm to him as quick as I did
and Heidi got a new gig: she tosses out the first pitch around the league lol
*disclaimer: j/k*
gameplay, they aren't trying to reinvent the wheel; bases are still 90 feet apart and the mound to homeplate 60'6''
sure, the NL is DH friendly now, but that's always been an option anyways.
and after roughly 50 years in the AL, we should all be quite familiar with it lolOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Well if you did not think '20 was the greatest Baseball game ever I just don't think we can have a realistic conversation on the subject. So go play SuperMegaBaseball on the Switch.
Just kidding, really I am.
I do love '20 and I am having a hard time moving on.
'22 Has tighter gameplay by a bit, Updated Rosters, more control options, more uniforms, different budget structure and new commentary.
'20 Being the last year of Carry Over saves has literally dozens and dozens of rosters including one of the best fictional rosters ever created. I love the gameplay and commentary. Plus in '22 they only have about a third of the names in the data base.
I think if you were not a super fan of '20 and or Historical or Fictional Rosters then I think '22 would be s great upgrade for you.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Haven't played the show since mlb the show 20. Is 22 a lot different?
Is it worth it for a guy stuck in PS4 paradise because of a series of unfortunate events that include the following:
-No PS5's available.
-Still no PS5's available.
-"Oh wow, $1200 for a PS5 seems a bit steep, no? Didn't they release for like $600? Well, I'm feelin' a bit crazy and I know I'll regret it, but let's do it..."
-"Oh, it's not even available...I didn't want it anyway..."
-"Thank god I didn't spend $1200 on a playstation, my wife would have killed me..."
-"Hunny, I'm pregnant."
So yeah, never getting a PS5 apparently...I love 20, but I wouldn't be opposed to a fresh coat of paint if people think it's worth it?2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: Haven't played the show since mlb the show 20. Is 22 a lot different?
The best part about The Show now is all the options we have. I know some people were upset last year when it moved to Xbox, and then even people got upset when it was announced it would be on the Switch. I never understood this mentality, but hey.
Anyway, the big money options like the PS5 and Series X are hard to come by. Switches, and Series S' are available everywhere.
The Series S is one hell of a capable console. And for the price at $300 it is worth it for not only The Show, but other next-gen games. It may not have the horsepower of the X but it's no slouch and is still a true next-gen system.
I mean, if you can afford it, and have a way to get one, then go with the X or PS5. But if that's not gonna work, then having the extra options at great prices is great.Comment

Also every Gamestop in America will have PS5's in store today, but you have to be one of their members to buy one.Last edited by Firestorm; 04-23-2022, 09:44 AM.Comment

I had to join to get my series x. Not so bad, $15 for a year and you get a $5 credit each month (starting the next month after you sign up). You just have to be careful they don’t roll it over the next year.Comment
