Hey folks!
This is a cross post from football-idiot...I haven't been on in a long time but a long time ago some of us tried very hard to edit uniform.dat on the ncaa 06 ps2 iso. Well thanks to a pcsx2 feature new uniforms are a reality.

The README now is updated with a link to the latest release as well as a tutorial video, current status, 2021 rosters from here at OS, widescreen no-interlacing patch from pcsx2 forums, and our discord link, enjoy!

awesome, for us that still play and enjoy the game this is great. How much of the things can actually be modded, just the unis?

Looking forward to this. I'm hoping my next dynasty on the channel will be an 06 Revamped dynasty with updated uniforms, rosters, plays, etc. Should be fun.

My preference would be to have just one file/iso to download and use that contained all of the separate mods and updates, make it fool proof and simple for guys like me who don't enjoy the backend stuff.

Right now if you just unzip the one file to the right place everything 'just works' regarding all the textures.
Only time you have to mess with it is if you wanna use all the alts, which is drag and drop in explorer.

For the rosters/dynasty you need a memory card file which lots of people have posted here through the years.

Great work! Will this work using PCSX2 1.6? I have that version installed on RetroArch 2k so I can play on the Series X. If not I'll just install and play on my PC.

You need a newer version (the newest 1.7 should be fine) than 1.6. Currently, I don't know of a PCSX2 Retroarch core that's newer than that 1.6 core. But if a newer core (that includes this texture manipulation) becomes available it should work! NCAA 06 is a bit laggy for me on that 1.6 core on my Series X, so I'm hoping there's some performance improvements on any future Retroarch cores.

The NFL 2k mod uses an older texture manipulation implementation that never was merged into PCSX2 master (so you had to use a specific graphics plugin). I believe they're working on translating that work to the new texture manipulation implementation that is being used for this NCAA 06 mod as well.

So long story short, PC version is the only one that supports this texture manipulation for now.

There are builds for mac as well, Aether SX2 (an android port of pcsx2) also supports this feature.


For pcsx2 make sure you're using this or a newer build:

Most of the SEC was released a couple days ago.

Next update will have my Dynasty Mod for 2021 season as well.
