Black bases

Noticed this last year as well, but in some dusk or night games, sometimes one of the base bags (usually 3rd) is black. It might just be there for an inning or the entire game. I’m assuring it has something to do with the lighting. Strange this has not been addressed. Anyone else experiencing this? Doesn’t happen every game.

I’ve noticed it a few times during night games when the retractable roof is closed. Don’t know if the roof has anything to do with it or not.

I'm in AAA while playing RTTS, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bases have been black since I moved up from AA 5 games ago. All were night games and in one game, it rained. All games were on the road in open-air stadiums.

I've seen it multiple times in various ballparks.

I’ve seen it during day games at minor league parks.
