    Sounds of The Show 22

Just saw this on The Show's website under FAQ...

Sounds of the Show is only available on PlayStation 4 consoles. On all other consoles, players will have 3 slots to set the Walk-Up music, 1 slot to set the Home Run celebration, and 3 slots for Pitcher Entry music. Players will not be able to upload your own music on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Looks like I'll be buying it for the PS4 still...

That answers my question I just posted on the SOTS 21 thread lol. Guess I'll stick to PS4.

I wonder if they’d give us an option to pay a small fee to download packs if that would be successful ie say $1.99 to get the Blue Jays walk up music on next gen. It’s not ideal but I could see it working.

I'd do that -- would prefer if players could get team packs and pay w/ stubs, but I know that's not going to happen -- but if MLBTS put together walk-up and pitcher entry songs as part of a sponsorship with Apple iTunes, Spotify ... that would be great.

The cost to get the license for each song would probably not be worth it. Or they’d have to be really expensive

SOTS won’t come to the PS5 until Xbox is able to also have it

I know the "feature parity" thing gets mentioned a lot, but I'd be curious to know why the 8th gen versions of the game are exempt from that (i.e. SOTS is still present on PS4, but not Switch or Xbox)

I'm a bit confused. I only own a PS5 but last year I bought the PS4 version and was able to use SOTS on my Ps5. Will I be able to do that this year or have they removed backwards compatibility?

Pretty sure you'll still be able to do that.

Thanks man. I’m sticking with the ps4 version. The graphics in the ps5 version aren’t light years better and I don’t give a **** about create a stadium.

Yeah, I don't care about creating a stadium either. If I had a PS5 I would play the PS4 version still just for SOTS.

I found this information in thr FAQ part of MLB the Show website:

"Sounds of the Show is only available on PlayStation 4 consoles. On all other consoles, players will have 3 slots to set the Walk-Up music, 1 slot to set the Home Run celebration, and 3 slots for Pitcher Entry music. Players will not be able to upload your own music on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch."

I assume they mean you can't put your music on the PS5 version of the game.

Thats where its confusing. They say "consoles" but I know last year that I bought the disc version of the ps4 game and was able to use SOTS on my ps5.

                          Fingers crossed it still works.

So since SOTS is on PS4, I can download the game to that console, upload the music and go through all that. And with this new cross-consoles saves and progression and etc, in theory, I can load that saved roster with all that music still there.

Has anyone tried anything like that?
