None of that means anything if they do not make the game more realistic.

If you expect this degree of quality, you will be disappointed. This guy apparently spend a couple of weeks' worth of free time on this model. Most likely the devs don't have that time, except for maybe this model as he's quite crucial. They probably spend time on them relative to the data they have acquired by now. Probably 5% of the fighters picked (if not a lot more) will be McGregor.

Would be interesting to see this information actually.

@TGOne: testers are always obliged to follow a NDA so no point in asking them, unfortunately. I think they're even actively encouraged to share footage/info as soon as they're allowed, so you'll hear about it soon enough.

I dont know the numbers for 4 but with UFC 3, I believe the number was pretty high.

Regarding the NDA, people can ask and I'll answer if I can. Keep in mind, the fact that I havent seen footage from the game doesnt really mean much.

With UFC 2, we played a version of the game 6 months before release. With 4, we were able to see certain aspects of the game early but alot of the main information, we didnt know until closer to release.

Right now, I have no idea when its coming out. I just know (like everyone else) that there will be a UFC 5.

Do you know if most of the devs are the same, or how many approximately been replaced? The community is really hoping for new people to take over

And if you know of any specific development roles that new people taken place of, I'd love to know that too, thanks.

I have no idea what staffing moves EA has made. I do know that the people we were in contact with over UFC 4 still appear to be working on the game.

As much as some OSers hated 4, the game was a financial success in EA's eyes. Its not realistic to think EA would fire/replace a team that made a game that they consider successful.

I doubt "the community' is asking for new people. What do they care? We are asking for another take on the clinch system, for one. I don't have any gripe with the team. As aholbert put it, they do what seems best given the data.

We've had a dedicated gameplay dev in the past, but most of us realise what a treat that was and it probably won't happen again.

What sucks is that it's obvious the higher sales came from the sport becoming so much more mainstream and international with all the new international fighters.. These devs got lucky as **** with the financial success of UFC 4, and the game series (and its' community) is gonna suffer as a result of that.. Oh well, it's just a game at the end of it

Is that based on any stats or actual data?

The sport is slightly more mainstream (because of ESPN) than it was during UFC 3's launch but not by much. ****, PPV numbers were much better in 2016 and 2017 than they are now. Conor, GSP, Jones and Cormier were still active then,

Look if you guys want to call the financial success as "luck"...have at it. But it isnt based in reality. They created a game that isnt primarily geared toward OSers or the sim part of the community and the game was a financial success. It would be insane for them to pivot in the other direction when their last game was more successful from a sales perspective than the previous ones.

I know this isnt what you guys want to here but its time to stop living in this imaginary world that EA is going to cater future games toward this community.
