Tearz49ers Presents: This Is Texas (CFB Revamped)

    *******

Prologue: So here it is. A dynasty I have been playing offline now for the last few months and the most enjoyable dynasty I have found. I was going to keep it offline and continue with a new USF report but that just didn't feel right again, however, the dynasty reporter in me couldn't go any longer without posting it up here, and not only that I have just taken over my team, the Texas Longhorns and that is where I've always had the most fun playing the game. I feel now, for me to get the best out of myself I have to use my own team, instead of the more "rebuild" type of projects.

This dynasty originally started as a coaching dynasty however, after taking over the Longhorns this will now be a team report just using my own coach. The coach is named after me, and as I have just stated I am now the head coach of the Texas Longhorns after a season with both San Jose State and Ohio State as offensive coordinator and a season as Virginia Tech's head coach. The Longhorns are coming off a 1-11 season in their inaugural year inside the SEC and Steve Sarkisian was let go and to be honest with you, despite a talented roster Texas hasn't really ever been back to a powerhouse and in the first three seasons of this dynasty they have a 14-23 record and have zero bowl wins, that has also pushed them down to a two-star prestige in the game, so whilst this is a rebuild, it sort of isn't at the same time. I think my enjoyment and will to continue this report will come from being the head coach of my favorite team.

In the first two seasons, I used real-life recruiting classes, with the 2023 season being the first NCAA-based recruiting class so you will see some familiar faces inside this report.

I will answer any questions on the schools you follow, as I say this report is only going into its fourth season so we are not too far ahead in the future that you will feel lost jumping in now.

    Platform: PC (RPCS3)

    Mode: Heisman

Rosters: NCAA Football 14: 2021-2022 Roster Update

Sliders: cgator22 Community Patch 1.0 (CFB Revamped Discord)

Gameplay Preferences: QTRS- 8 Mins, Home Field Advantage- Off, Ice The Kicker - Off, Fatigue - On.

Non-In-Game Tools: I will utilize the use of the Dynasty Editor, DB Editor, Dynasty Tool, NCAA 14' Utility Tool and I will be using FANGS (CFB Revamped Discord) recruit generator after the first two seasons where I will be using real classes.

Recruiting Restrictions: Texas is obviously an easy school to recruit for therefore I am going to implement some recruiting restrictions.

Five-Star recruits will need to be from the state of Texas, and also have Texas ranked as their No.1 school in the pre-season stage, this restriction will be in place until the Longhorns are back to a six-star prestige team in the game.

I can only offer scholarships to the same number of outgoing seniors, NFL potential sophomores, and juniors that I have left at the end of each season.

I will not be utilizing NCAA '14 low lock cheese (for those who know what that is), this is the easiest way to turn a school around quickly and I do sort of still want a slower run to a national championship.

Red Shirts: I can only Redshirt players that are true freshmen, a maximum of 10 true freshmen can be redshirted per year.

Transfers: Players will be thoroughly examined before being accepted. Any player who is persuaded into staying must start the following year, except following positions: QB, MLB, K, P

Players Leaving Early: This will be done via the Dynasty Tool.

Cutting Players: I will not be allowed to cut any player from the roster if the team is below or at the roster maximum.

Freshman: True freshmen are given an additional 15 pounds during their first preseason to recreate the muscle they would gain in a S&C program. This is optional for the following positions: QB, HB, WR, K, P, CB, FS.

Injuries: With the limited amount of realistic injuries in this game I will be taking up Hellisan's method of injuries which utilizes Random.org to generate a number of injuries, which week and for how long (This includes a set amount from pre-season). A deeper explanation can be found here: The Career of J.D. Clark (NCAA 14)

Credits: Credits go to cfjunkie, matt10, Cheese2121, ToySoldier, ID, Deegezy, St.Fransisco, TBMiz, and many more for inspiring some of the creative work in this dynasty. Even if they had no impact on this specific dynasty, they have impacted my dynasty reports and my ideas in the past and deserve to be mentioned.

Please do not post yet, thankyou

Re: Tearz49ers Presents: This Is Texas (CFB Revamped)

Texas moves into the 2024 college football season off the back of a 1-11 season. The move from the Big XII to the SEC was supposed to open more doors for the Longhorns, but all it did was bring more problems, but I really don't think anyone would have thought this Longhorns roster would have only one win in the whole of the 2023 and even that was a dismal 9-6 win over Missouri.

With that, the curtain once again closed on another Texas head coach career in Steve Sarkisian who paid the price for the Longhorn's vast shortcomings last season. Texas had the nation's 114th ranked total offense which broke down to averaging just 16.1 points per game (117th). Their only saving grace last season was their defense, led by now junior cornerback and former no.1 overall recruit Travis Hunter.

Texas now moves onto its fourth head coach since their last national championship win in the form of alumni and former Hokies head coach Russell Warner. Warner is known for being a quarterback guru and a really good recruiter, he turned around a Virginia Tech team in just one season and was part of a coaching staff with finished with the nation's no.8 overall recruiting class which included running back Tommy Reagor, the no.9 ranked player in 2024 class.

Previewing the Texas Offense in 2024:

It's already been stated just how bad the Texas offense was last season having only scored over fifteen points just four times all of last season.

Cade Klubnik returns as the clear starter for the Longhorns and the junior will need to come on leaps and bounds this spring after transferring to Texas at the end of his freshman season. Klubnik beat out Hudson Card last season only to see himself injured in the first quarter of the 41-7 loss to Mississippi State. Klubnik returned in week five and finished the season passing for just 1448-yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Luckily for the former five-star recruit, his new head coach is somewhat of a quarterback guru. At Virginia Tech, Warner's quarterback Knox Kadum threw for the nations with most passing yards, third-most touchdowns, and passed for just 6 interceptions.

Texas lost star receiver Xavier Worthy to the NFL and Jordan Whittingham to graduation. Kelvontay Dixon comes in as the team's most senior pass catcher but that isn't saying much with only 21 career receptions. However, it isn't all doom and gloom at the receiver position Jaivon Ramsey was a highly recruited five-star player out of Fayette, Al but a season-ending injury in spring took away his true-freshman season but thankfully he was redshirted and the 6-5, 210lbs pass catcher will be the focal point for this Longhorns offense alongside four-star tight end, Xander Weems.

Le'Veon Moss was a lone shining star in the Texas offense last season and the sophomore will once again lead the line when it comes to carrying the ball and we already know just how excited new offensive coordinator Jay Norvell is to have Moss on the team. Moss rushed for 887-yards and 10 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman, he will be backed up by Ezell Jolly who saw limited playing time as a freshman but did rush for a touchdown and 157-yards on 26 carries.

Texas returned Andrej Karic, Logan Parr, and Jake Majors (all-American) along the offensive line and they will provide much-needed leadership to both sophomores Neto Umeozulu and Cole Hutson who will plug the insides on this Longhorns line.

Previewing the Texas Defense in 2024:

The Longhorn's defense was far superior to its offensive counterparts last season, but that wasn't hard. Texas ranked 43rd overall in total offensive yards allowed, but only managed a poor 8 takeaways all season. They also lost a lot of talent on this side of the ball in linebacker David Gbenda, and defensive lineman Myron Warren and Jett Bush.

Linebacker Lewis Carter led the team in tackles as a true freshman with 88, he also had 10 tackles for loss. Carter will pair up with two new starters in Anthony Hill and Leviticus Su'a who both saw action as freshmen with Hill even recording an interception in the win over Missouri.

Along the defensive line, Texas returned no starters and that will be a worry for new defensive coordinator Andy Avalos. Omari Abor did record a single sack last season and we expect him and Ernest Cooper IV to get the starting nod at both the end positions. At defensive tackle, senior Vernon Broughton is 100% going to start and he will provide a good run stuffer through the middle, but the question will be who will start alongside him will it be Byron Murphy II, Sawyer Goram-Welch, or true freshman Nicho Boudreaux.

The Longhorns are not short of talent in the defensive backfield. Travis Hunter led the team in interceptions last season with just two so that goes to show you how short of takeaways this unit was last season. He is by far the best player Texas has on defense and they will need him to be so much better in 2024 he will once again team up with Jaylon Guilbeau on the outside with Denver Harris in the slot. With Bryan Allen Jr's move to strong safety, we expect true freshman Nick Johnson to win the starting role at free safety over both Bryce Anderson and J.D. Coffey III however, anyone who needs to plug holes for Texas anywhere along the defensive backfield will not struggle.

                      What Will Happen, Season Prediction:

There is no way this Texas team only wins one game under Russell Warner in 2024. The offensive guru will get Cade Klubinik playing up to his true potential. The proof is in the pudding, every quarterback Warner has been in control of has played way above their expectations.

Not just Klubinik, but I can see this whole offense being so much better this season and if the defense can make a jump up from last season I can't see why this team can't win at least five games, something that would have been frowned upon a few years back, but after a one-win season last year the expectations are not exactly high on the win front.

Warner will get his first test of SEC football right out of the gates when the Longhorns host Mississippi State at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns have four of the nation's top ten teams on their schedule in #2 LSU, #6 Georgia, #1 Oklahoma, and #10 TCU, that to go along with a Lone Star Showdown with No. 19 ranked Texas A&M.

Just read through the articles. You’ve got some serious names on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully you can get the most out of these guys because it’s clear that they have underperformed.
