MLB The Show 20: ***Auto base running***

I was playing MLB The Show 20 last night and was thoroughly enjoying it as usual except when I was trying to add some runs in the 7th with a 3-2 lead, my base runner tried to steal home on a regular pitch that the catcher caught. My base runner was obviously out by a mile as I gasped: "No! No! No!..." I couldn't believe what I saw!

Has anyone else seen horribly run bases controlled by the CPU? This really broke the immersion of a real game obviously and was a bit disappointing to say the least.

I am just not very good with my own control for base running and that is why I keep it on CPU control.

Looks like I might have to learn though.

I do remember that happening on MLB 20 a decent amount. The cpu team would do it as well against me. Always really pissed me off. I never seen it happen in 21 thank God. Nothing you can do about it but chalk it up as bad base running

To be honest, I have never seen that. I have been playing MLB 20 for 2 years now, and never seen the cpu steal home or player control steal home with auto base running…always play like that…

When I accidentally hit the trigger will they do stupid base running or once a while they will try to strech a single to a double…

Sorry for the mistake that happen, just role with it like the run got a wrong signs from the coach..things like that happen in real life..
It's all about the man Hammer'n Hank...

Use auto base running. Two seasons with 20 and have NEVER seen this.

I use auto running...never saw player try to steal home, but I do see them try to steal 2nd and 3rd without me sending them. Frustrating and can take you out of a big inning. Happens only with really fast guys.

If It makes you feel any better, playing manual on base running on '21, I still see some absolutely boneheaded decisions at times. I first realized if I hit RT that everyone halts so I thought I could be accidentally hitting my trigger.

But it's the experience of the player, lack thereof, and the slow position players that I see mistakes from. I literally just finished a game but one out, I got a guy on first. Grounded into a double but it was a hard grounder that the ss almost had on the fly. But there's my runner on first, standing there as the double play finishes.

Idk what is the idea fix for baserunning but some ideas going forward will definitely be needed. One issue I run into is when a scorcher line drive ends up getting down ( (batter having speed)I've got a runner who is slow enough I wonder if he's crapped himself and
he only gets a single. Also not taking speed from my guys on base, I've caught myself with an out focusing only on. my batter.

I've gotten more polished but I think there will be an easier way, I hope, going forward
