Wishlist: Injuries that effect overall ratings

Example:

RB - Torn ACL - Out for Season: Speed -1; Agility -3; Juke -3; Injury -4
DT - Broken Hand - Out 6 weeks: Power Move -1

This would generate the gradual deterioration of a player over time instead of or including injury by age. Take it a step further and show an outline of the player's body and highlight body regions with red and green colors showing injury severity status at the specified body part. You can then see how injuries pile up over time and make the rating matter. Imagine the same RB above the following year.

RB - Wrist Injury - Out 4 weeks: Stiff Arm -2 (Week 3)

Just think injuries should play a more dynamic role in gameplay/player management.

They still can't seem to make it important enough.

Injuries are affecting ratings already - they are just not connected to the injury, so a player may decrease speed after a wrist injury.


It's there in a certain way. But obviously in a way that EA could make it so much better with limited investments like so many other features.

I would love for players to not get practice xp while injured or maybe only get half the xp or something. Also if a player has a long term injury, and they have a practice injury then they'll have the recovery time of the practice injury which is only 1 week.

Interesting that you mention. I noticed yesterday my RB get hurt for 8 weeks with a ruptured disk. I checked his progression tab and noticed a -1 to spin move or speed, can’t remember exactly. I’ll continue to monitor.

Speaking of injuries I wish practice injuries had more random variation. Most should be a game or two, some maybe a month or two, and a few(not many) season ending.
