Funny, I was just wondering if they were ever going to invite any of the "impressions" youtubers to add to the sig-styles. And apparently it looks like we might be getting a new "feature" next year.


PS I watch Max and love his stuff but I seriously hope they tell him to turn down some of the over-the-top sillyness he adds to them, so we can watch the animations play out without laughing at them everytime.

Can’t tell, is the video making a joke? I always assumed sig styles were actually motion captured by players themselves (and re enacted or digitally rendered for Legends). Didn’t imagine it was dudes acting as Lebron etc. lol.

This video is a joke, of course, but generally speaking yeah, 2K has usually had some selected motion capture talent come in for some work each year. I’m not sure how extensive it is now but it used to be a couple NBA players willing to make the trip out then some other dudes who could come close to a lot of NBA movements.

I could be wrong but I feel like Jason Richardson and Glenn Robinson III have both done no-cap; same with French dunking legend Kadour Ziani back when 2K first introduced their dunk contest (the one with the fiery trash cans).

I used to figure if there was a random, non-star’s dunk package, it’s probably because he came in and no-capped it.
