When I download the trial on my PS5 it only gives the option of the PS4 version. I preordered the PS5 game but there is no option to download the PS5 trial.

The preorder has nothing to do with the trial, you get the trial without a preorder.
Try clicking the 3 dots and seeing if you can change versions. FYI, you actually get 10 hours for ps4 version and 10 hours for ps5 version.

FIXED: For anyone having the same issue, I had to call Sony and cancel my preorder. As soon as that was done I could download the PS5 trial.Comment

Man, I'm having this issue. I have the trial version on Ps5 and I just bought the MVP edition (it said ps4/ps5 when I bought it. Wasn't another option to purchase) and when I checked my downloads it says it's downloading the full ps4 version, but my ps5 trial is still available to play. Is it just downloading the ps4 version because it has to or am I screwed? I'm in a chat with EA support right now, but Im not hopeful.

The version will be updated by its own after sometime.

Ps5 version not available until Friday. PS4 early editions are available with a digital upgrade to the ps5

Well, I finished my trial and then the Madden 22 Ps5 trial version said full game at the main menu when you hit start over the game and go to version(I think) I deleted the Ps4 Full Game version cuz I'm hoping I'm set now. If I have to download the Ps4 version again for some reason I'm just gonna find a way to cancel to pre order cuz that's bogus.Comment

Yeah gamestop. So when i went to purchase the disc in store. Told early version fro 8/17 was only for ps4 but you get the ps5 upgrade. the ps5 disc is only standard for 8/20. I didnt want to pay $100 for a ps4 game witha graphic upgrade I preferred to wait for ps5 disc. Personal choice.Comment
