    2021-2022 English Football Thread

Starting this now as the fixtures have been released today.

We welcome Brentford back for the first time in almost 70 years and also welcome back Watford and Norwich.

Spurs v City first match. But what color is Kane wearing??

I have not checked yet but I'm guessing Sky or Talk sport will tweet this.

Norwich away? We need to re-sign Suarez on a short term deal pronto.

Yeah that kinda came out of nowhere. Figured it was settled that he’d be at Villa another year.

In all seriousness I know that Kane is great, but I’ve been Haaland or bust for the last six months so I’d be crushed if that didn’t happen.

So far Levy hiring a DoF has been a nightmare. Worse that just Levy making decisions himself.

But really, I hope we sell Kane and put the money into the defense. Kounde, Anderson and Aarons.

Appears that the bench size will again be 9 players for the upcoming and possibly future seasons.

With the concussion subs, I like the bigger bench. Allows kids and fringe players more of a opportunity as well.

Yep, gives some youth players a chance to make an appearance they may not otherwise make if the game is comfortably in hand, or out of hand, which could be the opportunity that helps them break into the squad regularly.

Hoping to see a report in regards to how close the vote was, as 14 clubs must approve/agree.

                            I'll go a little further...

                            1. Man City
                            2. Liverpool
                            3. Chelsea
                            4. Man United
                            5. Leicester City
                            6. Spurs
                            7. West Ham
                            8. Arsenal*
                            9. Aston Villa

                            18. Burnley (I can dream)
                            19. Norwich (I want them to stay, but they're destined to yo yo)
                            20. Watford (Will go through 62 managers)

*Do not be surprised at how awful they are. Year after year it seems to still surprise someone just how much of a decline the club are in, and if there is a rebuild, it's in its infancy. Its early infancy.

Coventry’s stadium is the Tropicana Field of English football.
