Draft Night / Offseason Roster has been released!

Roster is offseason ready (UFAs in the FA pool), w/
(These include 2-Way players signed immediately after the draft)

ROSTER FEATURES

-Full attribute edits for 95% of NBA players.
Every single attribute was painstakingly edited in accordance w/ 2K's scales (or an enhanced version of their scale). Procedures have been developed over the last 18 years of editing NBA 2K rosters.

-No seriously, every single attribute.
Consideration leads to greater accuracy. Editing ratings is a mix of math, knowledge, and "feel". One can't be a slave to a spreadsheet (i.e. where 2K Sports' issues often stem).

-The most accurate positions of any roster.
I don't just look at Basketball Reference's estimate like the majority of editors. BBR is simply sorting by height - the actual lineup data often paints a different picture. Some editors are really out here thinking Grant Williams (6'6" / 236) was a SF in lineups w/ Jayson Tatum (6'8" / 210).

-Updated Coaching & Staff profiles
Ratings, Badges, and POE's were adjusted for Head & Assistant coaches to generate a better MyLeague experience. GMs etc were also adjusted to give a more realistic touch.

-Updated Contracts
While 2K cleaned a lot of these up, maybe 3% needed some type of adjustment. Currently Rookie contracts are not accurate (the draft was literally 12 hours ago), but 1st rounders were at least given 4-year deals and figures will be updated as they become available.


FUTURE ADDITIONS
-Completed Tendencies, Badges, and Player Playtypes
Once the off-season dust has settled I will finish data collection that is used on these areas. Badges/Tendencies have already been updated for approximately 33% of teams - I felt it best to finish the attributes first and revisit these later.

-Jump to Next-Gen (PS5)
Right now my focus is finishing the data projects on my plate and keeping up with what will be an extremely rapid off-season. Beginning a next-gen data transfer now would lead to those tasks not being completed.

-Updated Classic Teams
This is mostly a long-term project, and application won't begin until next-gen roster release.

Eyyy, 2K added the rookies so now I can delete all those caps that I spent the entire night adding, lmao

Just use the import/export option to "edit" over the CAP's you have. Most have terrible CAP faces anyway, so yours are probably an improvement.

Also, if Ball's ratings & tendencies are any indication the entire class needs heavy editing done.

The ones used were from Jackmove's Draft class, which it appears were ripped from the disc. The only appearances changing are the players 2K got a chance to scan (Obi Toppin had a significant change).

I mean, I think that's a very easy thing to say. The majority of tendencies are team & role specific and a player's usage in College (or in Ball's case, a bad Australian team) will differ wildly from the role they get at the pro level. It's an exceptionally hard thing to nail down. If it were EASY then we'd be working in NBA front offices, not on the technical minutia of a video game.

I just looked at Ball's tendencies and nothing pops out at me as egregious. Ditto for his ratings.
Specific examples would be useful for both editors and the 2K team.

11/21/20 Update

FREE AGENCY
First 7 hours of Free Agency are in the books. Contracts & positions updated where applicable.

ROOKIES
Rookies were updated to be official 2K renders. The tendencies are out of wack but 2K is going to change them in the next roster update. Rookies will be updated again once that happens.

Hey Real 2K - really looking forward to this roster! I have a question in regards to staff - did you create the actual GM as either the CFO or Assistant GM? When played outside of My League (if one is just looking at user rosters) it will show up correctly as the accurate GM when you scroll to the right. But - when imported into a My League - the real GM will no longer be there - I hope this makes sense. I’m not at my PS4 right now or I would check this out myself.

So i just loaded up your roster into My League and it is just as I stated - the GM’s that you have created outside of My League have to be moved to the Assistant GM to actually be a GM within My League. I hope this helps and I know it may a lot of work to do over but i wanted to you to be aware in case you didn’t know.

Figured it might be the case, will eventually port them over.

My solution is just gonna be duplicating the name. Everyone is on a 4-year contract so the FA pool won't get crazy.
