Any idea if you can just do a "Race Now" or "Exhibition Race" rather than having to do Career Mode?

In the first one you could so Id imagine yes.

The DLC tracks were actually not available in career and only in race now/Exhibition

I'm curious about the "new physics engine," for two reasons.

One, this game probably needs it. The sprint cars in Smoke's sprint car game handled just like the late models in NASCAR Heat 4, the game engine upon which Smoke's sprint car game was built. Fun, but nowhere near realistic.

Two, I don't trust 704 -- or whatever it's called these days -- for its dirt physics model.

Man, I miss Ratbag, the creator of the incredible Dirt Car Racing PC game and World of Outlaws Sprint Car games on console and PC. Those guys had dirt racing NAILED.

@pk500 I still to this day fire up Dirt Track Racing 2 from time to time. What I'd do to see what Ratbag could do with today's tech. They had a game that in my opinion, was easy for the beginner, but you could take off assists and it was pretty close to sim. Loved those old Ratbag games. I always wanted to play Leadfoot but never got my hands on it.

I was just thinking I wanted another Saturday Night Speedway game! I'm not looking for much...hopefully it drives okay but I just want a decently compelling career mode. Love going to the local tracks.

I've enjoyed the recent Sprint Car racing game...not as good as Ratbag's PS2, but good enough to scratch the itch for me.
