Wanted to see how many of you are skipping out on Madden this year, I for one am sick and tired of the lack of innovation in franchise and presentation every darn year with this game, I've purchased Madden every year just because if I wanted to simulate the NFL this was it, well not this year, I'm not giving EA money for the same game with a new RPG story mode, I don't need my sports game to be an RPG, I just need a good franchise mode and good gameplay. It's a shame that a game now 16 years old NFL 2K5 had so much more in it's presentation and gameplay than a game developed 16 years later with more advanced hardware. PS Why has Microsoft never added NFL 2K5 to the backwards compatibility list??

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
Yeah I’m skipping it. I’m a franchise player and there’s nothing for me in the game anymore. Madden 20 fizzled out quick so I guess I’m just done with NFL games. At least I’ve still got a working PS3 and NCAATeams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
I can't see buying it this year considering how little work has gone into franchise mode. I'm not sure I will ever buy another Madden unless there is a major change in creative direction.Comment

I'm skipping it this year. I'm just going to buy PGA Tour 2k21 instead [emoji2377]

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
Yep, same here.
I've been here long enough to know who are my trusted advisors and based on the results, I'll be picking it up too.
I played the beta and based on the trusted advisors, the game didn't change from the beta.
I support FM and all additions it should deserve.

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
First time in 15 years I won't be buying it. They won't notice but I can't put up with the fake transparency bull crap any more.
I know I'm not the only one.Last edited by Rondo is GOD; 08-22-2020, 06:04 PM.Originally posted by Balldude777In this case the lasagna restaurant started selling candy to kids and that became the best revenue stream so they’ve let the lasagna get worse and focused on becoming a candy store. Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
Hard pass.
And, on principle, even IF surprising changes come to franchise via updates/patches, I will not give EA my money for this game. Probably never again.
Downloaded the trial, simmed a year of franchise, played half a game, shook my head in disgust and deleted the game.
Ryan Moody put out a youtube video about how EA should be giving out refunds. I strongly disagree: anyone who preordered it simply hoping against hope should slap himself and take the loss like a man. Show some consumer discipline. Madden is a joke.Comment

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
Personally done with Madden until they show some amount of care with regards to maintaining their license as the only 'simulation' football video game with the NFL branding on it.
It'll be even easier since it'll probably be a while until I grab a next generation console.
I've been buying Madden on release weekend for the last decade and a half, since I've been able to afford the game with my own money. It sucks not getting the ability to feel that rush of excitement and happiness booting up the new edition in advance of the oncoming football season but that's squarely on EA's lack of effort."Pop-Tarts? I agree with your premise. However as a Rams fan I CANNOT skip this season.

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
This will be my first year back to the Madden series since Madden 10. I just got back online and plan on getting the game and playing some head to head. I am normally a NCAA player primarily but decided to finally upgrade and bought the Xbox One.Comment

Re: Skipping out on Madden 21
I’m skipping just and the next time I play a Madden, it should be Madden 22. I think
I see more improvement when I wait a year or two. I haven’t bought consecutive years since 2001 & 2002! I’m going to really throw myself into 20 and try to get a season out of it.
