My preference would be to not have it on Labor Day Weekend because I'll be visiting a spot where the Internet is doodoo. My parents live in the woods, woods and are lucky they can even have Internet at all. I could probably make it reliably work if I kick everyone else off the wireless.

I also vote that if Messi isn't available at the draft but ends up in EPL that no one is allowed to have him for the season. Or do a random draw to see who gets him.

The other solution could be that if he's not available and someone wants to take the chance, they declare their pick for Messi and then choose a 3rd string GK or something.

The closer to start of the season the better so guys like Messi and other late transfers will be there.

I do like Bret’s idea of just having someone do a placeholder pick for him. I don’t think he’s the consensus #1 pick anyway. I ran his stats last year and he would have been 2nd to KDB.

Yeah I didn’t even realize it was Labor Day weekend for those days. Really, we should be doing it a few days before the season starts and no earlier just to avoid too many free agents.

I'm not 100% sure how much I'll be around Labor Day weekend, but I'll try if that's what is decided. I put some votes in for Thursday and Friday right before season starts.
