New Football Manager confirmed, Will release later than normal

    https://www.footballmanager.com/news...mpact-covid-19

From the FM site today, long and short of it is that there will be a new FM(assume it'll just be FM 2021) but it will release later than normal(normally first few weeks in November). I assume they'll try and make 2021/22 as accurate as possible with both COVID and the Qatari World Cup, and possibly the Olympics all affecting scheduling moving forward.

They say it'll be new feature-laden, and for those keeping up with the company, they have been hiring quite a bit over the last six or so months, so maybe we will, but generally as long as nothing is completely unusable, I've always at the very least enjoyed the game.

Miles also mentions being released on more stores and more platforms. This probably just means things like Epic store or IOS or something. But people seem to be taking this as Xbox and PlayStation.

I'd actually love to be able to play it on a console (I get tired of sitting in front of a computer a lot of the time). But I'm not holding my breath. I can't imagine how a console would even begin to be able to handle a 1gb save file. And it would probably end up being the mobile version like it is on Switch. And I personally can not play that version of the game.

Good to hear. I pretty much buy the game every year regardless, so I wouldn't be all that bothered if there's a lack of new features or whatever. Though it sounds like there's some real ambition about what they're doing in spite of the challenges they're facing with regards to development.
Very curious about what they've got in store for FM 21.

I really havent played any of the current FM as I get sidetracked by baseball, basketball, and F1 games, but I'll still by the new game anyways. It the very least im investing into the game to help it in the future. Sounds like theyre still trying to add in a ton of new features which is obviously nice.

I think I saw Miles say that COVID will NOT be factored in to the next version.

Personally, I think this is a good move, but maybe they can put it in as an option like OOTP did.

I honestly don't want to think about what effect COVID has on my budget. I do that every day for my job dammit.

I admit I skimmed his tweet, but I thought he was more saying that other COVID effects wouldn't be in the game, I had assumed(maybe incorrectly) that the fixtures would still be near to real life but I could be wrong.
