    Injury slider

hello everyone...with regard to the injury slider for overall game played in CFM....does lower the number mean more injuries...so 55 compared to 30...the 30 setting will have more injuries?

As far as injury player rating I assume higher the rating that player won't get hurt as much...so a 90 injury rating will get hurt more than a 95?

    Thanks.

    Re: Injury slider

Higher the injury slider, the more injuries you're gonna see. But it's really sensitive. I usually don't raise it above 55. The higher the injury rating, the less likely a player will be hurt. There's also a toughness rating that modifies how long players can be injured. A player with a toughness rating of 99 will come back sooner than a player with a toughness rating at 80. Depends on the type and length of injury.

Ok so if its 30 compared to 50 at 30 there will less less overall injuries...if its 60 compared to 50 there will be more?

For a player injury rating the closer to 99 less likely he will get hurt.

A higher player toughness will get him back from injury quicker.

          Re: Injury slider

Keep in mind as you raise the injury slider that it will disproportionately effect your offensive skill position players. I’ve had 4 RB’s injured at the same time with it at 45.
However defensive injuries are very, very rare and I’ve never seen an OL injury.

I disagree about defense being rare. I have my star middle linebacker injured twice for 4 weeks each, not coming back early, in my 2023 franchise

Madden simply never had the right balance on injuries
Only way to really get injuries right and balanced is to sim games

                Re: Injury slider

I use a setting of 50. While not realistic with RL injuries, it's decent enough I don't have to micro manage my roster and still can have 2-6 players injured at any given time.

                  Re: Injury slider

My injury slider is usually set between 51 and 53. Any higher than that, you're really asking for it.

                    Re: Injury slider

I play with an injury slider of 52 but I adjust position injuries globally to account for the injuries to skill players and to allow injuries to OL and DL. HB and WR, I edit all players up in injury 8 to 10 points to compensate for the higher injury slider. And for some players I also up there toughness rating as well. All OL have a 45 point drop in injury rating and DL have a 25 to 30 point drop in injury rating to allow injuries to line positions. With this particular setup I think I get a much more realistic experience.
