    1993 Full 90 Man

    Under: KBunny26

    Just uploaded 12/5

After speaking with JeMeyers, well we love the 1987 Full 90 man that we have worked on since 2011, but it is time to roll out another one. Flat out this is time consuming. I already have the Marlins organization almost complete. We really want this to reflect 1993 accurately but also suitable for franchise play. So we are using HS talent drafted in 93 and 94 and then only extending it to college talent drafted until 1996. Also if we have an international prospect that is 17 in 1993. The accuracy of the 1987 set we did was great but often the player had to add too many prospects via draft and create them while franchise was in progress.

For instance Mark Kotsay, drafted in 1996 out of college but was 18 in 1993, included. Edgar Renteria signed to the Marlins in 1993 but 17 at the time is included. So I believe it will give way more longevity and ease of use to the franchise mode. I am compiling and JeMeyers is rating. We really need help as a lot has changed for us both in the last 10 years. I am married now and have three kids, work full time. I know JeMeyers is just as busy as he is logging 12 hour shifts. Anyone available, looking for some heavy hitters.

Making a 90-man 1995 for personal use (I don't want to promote it here and never finish it, did that once and felt bad about it), would be more than happy to share some minor leaguers if there's any carry-over. This isn't far along at all so I can't guarantee anything.

Re: 1993 Full 90 Man Roster

I hope you both use the 1994 roster file I put in the vault as your base. Makes it much easier for you both.

Roster has realistic career statistics accumulations. As well, player appearances and ages are almost all correct as of 1994.

Phil Parent has been working on it.
Once you both get done, I will simulate statistics and tweak player ratings.
This is necessary to achieve proper simulation and played game stats.

I may copy/paste players onto the 1987 set. Some of the player statistics are horrible. You will notice I got the 3rd Basemen, Fielding % very accurate with 1994 and 2001.

        Great work, guys !!

Good to see you Jethro. I am super excited for this whenever it eventually drops.

You know well that you guy’s are #1 for me ever since MLB 11. The 1987 Roster is still my most played classic set ever.

I can only imagine how great 1993 will be. The inaugural seasons for both the Marlins and Rockies. Iam already imagining taking on the Marlins and charting a course for them!!

Can’t wait for this one. All the best to you and the family.

Feel free to use any players from any roster that I've put in the vault over the years. I've always been a "Season" guy in the show and I don't think I've ever played the next season in Franchise. I'm almost done with my 40 man All Time Roster, and that should be my last roster for the year. I've got '61, '89, '01, and All Time seasons lined up for my summer. Best of luck with '93.

Little update, Reds, Marlins, complete and Tigers are getting uploaded tonight to get rated. We also have help on Indians, Braves, Blue Jays, maybe a few more. Thank you to Storms Warning and Madden08 PC for the help in getting the names in and everything else you are doing.

                Starting on Giants next

Dude! This is my dream roster year! The '87 roster is just outstanding but slightly before my time. In '93 I was 11 and I remember this season better than any other from my childhood. It was so much larger than life it was magical to me. I have secretly wished for this year to be produced ever since I downloaded '87. Thanks guys!

Be thank you to StormsWarning for hitting up the Indians and pitching in as well as Madden08 for knocking one down as well. I have knocked out the Giants 40 man and working on minor league and prospects. JMeyers1975 is doing the importing into the master file and ratings

                        The Ms were absolutely loaded.

Unreal they only won a single playoff series in the late 90s.

In my experience my long play of these rosters only ends when I reach the point that there aren’t enough real life prospects for the new season. I got 3 seasons out of 1987. So add as many as possible. Heck add 14 year olds if necessary.

That is your take. Many of us adore the full 90 man sets which this will be.

It is unavoidable that fictional prospects will come into the game as early as year 1 when you draft.

So I don’t understand what you are pointing out.

1987 had all real minor leagues. Fictional players generate and get drafted.

This is the same for full minors for current day.

Thank you Jmeyers and Jethro for this gift of 1993 whenever it comes out!

I think you misread that completely. I’m saying the more young prospects packed in the better because it gives the roster more longevity as it progresses. If a roster has no minors, or very few minor leaguers, it falls apart within a year or so of franchise. Nobody likes 90 man rosters more than me Lol
