Playmakers Classic 90s Roster for Xbox One

These rosters are for Madden 20 on Xbox One.

This is the Full List of the Completed teams and all the current FA's on Offense that I've added so far.....

GT is Playmakers0570 for DL on Madden Share

A DECADE TO REMEMBER: THE NFL IN THE ’90s

    The Gulf War…Beanie Babies…the Internet.

All are symbolic of life in the 1990s, the last decade of the millennium.

NFL fans will remember the ’90s for "Wide right"…"The Triplets"…2,000 yards…and "This one’s for John."

The decade will be remembered by players, coaches and fans for great teams…outstanding players…and memorable milestones.

The Dallas Cowboys became the first team to win three Super Bowls in four years. The Denver Broncos made a run at a perfect season in 1998 before winning their second consecutive Super Bowl. The Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins also won Super Bowls (the 49ers also won the 1989 Super Bowl, which was played in January 1990).

DAN MARINO became the all-time passing leader. JERRY RICE became the league’s all-time leading receiver and touchdown scorer. TERRELL DAVIS and BARRY SANDERS each rushed for over 2,000 yards in a single season.

    FUN FACTS

Mike Mamula was one of the first players to train specifically for the combine drills, performing each drill hundreds of times in the months leading up to the combine. Although that practice is prevalent today, in 1995 most players performed football drills and paid less attention to the specific drills measured at the combine.[1] Mamula had 26 reps of 225 lb bench presses, which was more reps than the top tackle taken in the draft (Tony Boselli), and his 4.58 40-yard dash time was considered extremely fast for his position

Michael Strahan was drafted by the New York Giants in 1993. He played in only six games due to injuries, and missed the Giants' two playoff games that season. After a few unremarkable seasons, Strahan had a breakout season in 1997, recording 14 sacks. He was voted into his first Pro Bowl and was also named First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press. In 1998, Strahan continued his success, racking up 15 sacks and being voted into his second Pro-Bowl and All-Pro team.

In the spring of 1997, La'Roi Glover played for the Barcelona Dragons of the World League of American Football. Earning all-league honors, Glover helped the Dragons win World Bowl '97 and ranked third in the league with 6.5 sacks and adding 36 tackles.

Darrell Russell's seven-year, $22 million contract in 1997 was at the time the richest rookie contract ever signed in the NFL.

In workouts prior to the draft, Dan Wilkinson weighed in at 315 pounds, bench-pressed 225 pounds 34 times and ran a remarkably fast 40 yards in 4.72 seconds.

I would love to have this roster, but I bought Madden 20 for PS4 this year. I have Madden 19 for Xbox.

I can’t play with them either because I got the PS4 copy this year as well. But i did just dust off ncaa 14. Having a blast with it. Using classic rosters. I did a set that had from 80 to 2013 players and playmakers did an all time set.

Also threw in madden 25 on xbox 360. It’s pretty fun as well. Really makes me want to do classic rosters because they have all the old formations and old coaches playbooks. And you can use them in playbook creator.

Gameplay is pretty amazing on 360 as well. It’s the one with Barry Sanders on the front. PM has a similar 90s set on there. That’s why i threw it in.

I grabbed these rosters and omg they are scary good.

Unbelievable accuracy on lineups with only 4-5 players from what I saw in the entire league or NFC listed that had 99 overall rating.

My favorite has to be Baltimore I really love how their defense was rated and the Ray Lewis pic looked really good.

Keep up the good work looking forward to the final product.

Playmakers is a legend himself with these rosters. He’s been doing for as far back as i remember coming on here. His slider work/theories are also the best. Glad you’re enjoying these. Tell us how your games go.

Playmaker should find Steve on Twitter and see if he'll lift the ban or other mods for his account.

Not to be a bother but is there any more updates to this roster file?

I'm itching to get a possible franchise mode going after I played a fantastic shootout game between 98 Minnesota Vikings vs 91 Atlanta Falcons.

Vikings won the game 45-35 and Cunningham was just killing me throwing all over the place to Moss and Carter. Despite Deion in my secondary making some plays those two guys still ended up with 100+ yards receiving each.

Atlanta offense is fun to run and Andre Rison almost seems unfair to throw to dude had 9 catches for like 170 yards and two touchdowns for me.

Re: Playmakers Classic 90s Roster for Xbox One

Playmakers just emailed me an update:

Updated the file by adding the following teams

                  1990 Buffalo Bills

                  Top rated players
Bruce Smith (94) X-Factor Unstoppable Force
                  Will Wolford (90) Super Star
Andre Reed (90) X-Factor Double Me
                  Jim Kelly (90)
                  Thurman Thomas (90)

LB core is the strength of their defense led by Cornelius Bennett, Shane Conlan and Darryl Talley.

                  1999 Indianapolis Colts

                  Top Rated Players
Marvin Harrison (92) X-Factor Super Star
                  Peyton Manning (90)
                  Tarik Glenn (87)
                  Edgerrin James (85)

This is really young up and coming team. Peyton was coming off his rookie year, James was a sensational rookie RB and Harrison was quickly becoming one of the games elite WR's.

I added a couple of nostalgic players Brandon Burlsworth rookie and veteran Tony Mandarich to their squad.

                  1999 Jacksonville Jaguars

                  Top Rated Players
                  Tony Boselli (93)
                  Carnell Lake (88)
                  Jimmy Smith (88)
                  Kevin Hardy (86)

Boselli is the only 90 rated players but don't be fooled this team is loaded with quality starters in the mid to low 80's. The Wr tandem of Smith and McCardell are terrific pairing and young Fred Taylor is big 6'2 220 and Fast 91 speed. Jags defense can get after you with pass rushers Brackens, Hardy and veteran Bryce Paup.

                  1999 Tennessee Titans

                  Top Rated Players
                  Brad Hopkins (91) X-Factor Superstar
                  Frank Wycheck (88) X-Factor
                  Jon Runyan (88)
                  Jevon "The Freak" Kearse (87)
                  Eddie George (87)

Young Steve "Air" McNair (83 overall) X-Factor is emerging as one of the games young super stars at QB. Physical OL with bookend Tackles Hopkins and Runyan along with 38 year old OG Bruce Matthew's who is still playing at a high level open holes for bruiser Eddie George at RB.

Defense has a very underrated secondary anchored by Veteran SS Blaine Bishop X-factor and young CB Samari Rolle

More teams to come later enjoy the update!!!

Playmakers just sent me an update. He finished the 98 Denver Broncos. He sent this profile of the team:

                    Update

                    98 Denver Broncos

They were 14-2 and won their 2nd straight title.

They had a potent offense despite veteran QB John Elway being on the back end of his career.

The Broncos offense was loaded with talent around the aging Elway. Workhorse RB Terrell Davis rushed for 2008 yards & 21 touchdowns.

TE Shannon Sharpe is the highest rated TE of the 90's era file. Sharpe made 7 of his 8 pro bowls doing the 90's and was named to 90's All decade team. Wr's Rod Smith and Ed "Easy" McCaffrey combine with Sharpe to round out a dynamic trio of receivers.

Steve Atwater is one of the hardest hitting safeties on the file he anchors a Broncos defensive unit that consist of DE-Neil Smith, LB-Bill Romanowski, LB- John Mobley, DT-Trevor Pryce & CB-Ray Crockett.

The 98 Broncos were were ranked as the 12th greatest Super bowl champions by NFL Network.

                    Top Rated Players

                    Shannon Sharpe (98)
                    John Elway (93)
                    Bill Romanowski (92) X-factor Shutdown
                    Steve Atwater (91)

Got another update. 1996 Steelers. Info below.

                      UPDATE

Added 1996 Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) AFC Central Division Champs lost in AFC Divisional playoff game.

                      TOP Rated Players
                      Rod Woodson-(95)
                      Dermontti Dawson-(93) X-factor Super Star
Jerome "The Bus" Bettis-(92) X-Factor Star
                      Carnell Lake-(91)

I went with this team over the 95 Steelers because I wanted Jerome "Bus" Bettis on the file.

The Bus was traded to the Steelers from the Rams doing the 96 offseason and proceeded to rush over 1400 yards & 11 TD's.

Bettis was one of 6 Steelers to make the pro bowl as he was joined by future HOF'S Rod Woodson-CB & Dermontti Dawson-C along with Chad Brown, Levon Kirkland & Carnell Lake

Young Super Star OLB Brown was becoming one of the NFL's elite edge rushers tallying 13 sacks.

Brown, Kirkland & Jason Gildon filling in for the injured Greg Lloyd gave the Steelers and exciting young LB core with depth at the position from 96 draft picks Carlos Emmons and Earl Holmes.

Kordell "Slash" Stewart is a low rated (75) X-Factor player at the QB position that you'll want to get on the field.

                        Added 1990 Raiders

                        TOP RATED PLAYERS
                        Bo Jackson-RB (90)
                        Don Mosebar-C (89)
                        Howie Long-DE (88)
                        Steve "The Wiz" Wisniewski-LG (88) X-Factor
                        Tim Brown-WR (86) Super Star

Team went 12-4 lost to Buffalo in the AFC Championship game.

Two Pro Bowlers DE Greg Townsend and LG Steve Wisniewski who was entering his 2nd year in the league.

Young Super Star LG Wisniewski teamed with veterans Don Mosebar-C and Max Montoya-RG to give the Raiders a strong interior offensive line.

That nucleus helped both Bo Jackson & Marcus Allen each rush over 600 yards. Jackson avg 5.6 ypc and Allen had 13 total TD's.

The Raiders defense was anchored by strong pass rushers in Townsend (12.5), 6'8 DT Scott Davis (10) and future HOF DE Howie Long (6) as the trio combined for 28.5 sacks

Just got this update from playmakers about the 1994 Sand Diego Chargers. He just added them to the file:

                          Update

                          Top Rated Players
                          Junior Seau-(92)

                          Natrone Means-(83)

                          1994 San Diego Chargers

Team went 11-5 and reached their first Superbowl in franchise history.

They were led by a big play defense that always seemed to force turnovers and key moments.

Bruiser Natrone Means racked up 1350 yards rushing and 12 TD's giving the Chargers their only pro bowl offensive player.

The defense was led by Pro bowlers Junior Seau at MLB and DE Leslie O'Neal who led the team with 12.5 sacks. O'Neal might be one of the most underrated Defensive players of the 90's era.

The other bookend DE Chris Mims added 11 sacks.

Young rookie Rodney Harris (81 overall) is an emerging star and has the Xfactors Reinforcement

Dwayne Harper, Stanley Richard, Darrien Gordon and Darren Carrington round out a ball-hawking secondary that registered 14 interceptions.

Key notes the TE spots are occupied by Wr's to give their offense a true spread feeling.

Moon was at the helm of an offense called the “run and shoot”, the forerunner of today’s spread. The field was spread with speedy receivers in Haywood Jeffires, Curtis Duncan and Ernest Givins. All three made the Pro Bowl, averaging in the neighborhood of 10-12 yards-per-catch.

And the Oilers weren’t all about the passing game. The offensive line had two future Hall of Fame inductees in center Bruce Matthews and guard Mike Munchak (who later coached this organization after it relocated to Tennessee and became the Titans). They paved the way for Lorenzo White to clear 1,200 yards and finish fifth in the NFL in rushing.

It was enough to finish sixth in the league in points scored and the defense wasn’t far behind, ranking ninth. The key was a veteran defensive front, where the best players were all 30-years-old. Sean Jones and William Fuller each had eight sacks off the opposite edges. Defensive tackle Ray Childress had 13 sacks and was 1st-team All-NFL. Middle linebacker Al Smith was another 1st-team All-NFL player and corner Jerry Gray picked off six passes in 1992.
