My excitement level is off the charts.  The SDS team improve this product year in and year out and this year looks to be incredible.  Even as an offline only gamer the amount of content in DD on day one is overwhelming.

My excitement level is the same as it is every year, can't WAIT!!!

My only issue is I really want to avoid starting a new franchise, I need to continue my current franchise carry-over......but I am really going to be tempted to start a new franchise and then I'm going to be mad at myself.

      Ohhh the dilemma.....

Excitement level is pretty high, but expectations are tempered.

If the implementation of relocation/re-branding works as hoped, it'll be a lot of fun.

If not, it's me investing another $90 on the same product as last year, but with a new haircut.

Really, really hoping that it works out though.

My hype level is at an all time low for MLB The Show 20 but I know my hype level will be at an all time high one year from now when MLB The Show 21 for Next Gen is released lol

However as always I am still looking forward to getting my hands on the new version as it will be nice seeing what SDS has improved in a full year of programming.

I'm always excited for a new version. I think it gets incrementally better every year and improves enough to be worth it thanks to carry-over franchise.

Very hopeful/excited about the rebranding and relocation but prepared for it to be bare bones. Hope I'm wrong!

Always excited for this time of the year. “Working from home” on Friday as has been a tradition for many many years! Not expecting much, we got minor leaguers maybe a few new faces and of the young guys, Jordan brand and that’s enough for me! As for next year ... I’m expecting EVERYTHING AND MORE!

Very, very Low. Same deceptive Lines about "100+" new animations.

Heard since year 2010. Box score looks disgusting still.

I think there will be others as well that don't waste time with MLB 20.

Re: OS Roundtable: Excitement Level for MLB The Show 20?

I'm excited enough that I am taking both Friday and Monday off of work to give me a 4 day weekend to enjoy the early launch edition. Launch day for this game is always something I look forward to.

...but the biggest addition to the game was the Full Minors rosters and as we've seen with the custom FM rosters in the past, lots of things can go wrong with a major roster overhaul like that (like poor progression/regression/FAs not signing/poor trade AI)....

So...I'm excited AND apprehensive....both at once....

Careful 1st iterations of the game on new consoles were very bland for ps3 and ps4. Usually the 2nd year is the big jump, at least visually. Best to be cautiously optimistic not hyped

                        Very high.

I'm looking forward to playing with the new gameplay changes, especially on defense. The new animations for the outfielders, new homerun robbing animations, the risk/reward for diving for a ball, and the new catcher blocking animations are all very welcomed additions.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I am not going to lie, I am conflicted. While I am super excited to see SDS acknowledge the work the full
Minors guys do and include it day one. I have a feeling once the newness wears off it is going to be the same stale experience that I have been getting tired of more quickly every year.

Franchise just feels so repetitive with the minimal Changes they have made over the years. I am not a fan of M2O, RTTS, and I definitely will never set foot in DD. So I am left with trying to cover the warts and legacy issues Of franchise by using my imagination. I used to play the show well into August, but the last three years it is usually out of my rotation by June as I wait for madden release to approach.

I am still getting it day one early release, and will be taking a “personal” day Friday and Monday

All time low for me. First time that I didn't pre-order the game during Christmas since I can remember, I've been a loyal fan since MLB 06 but last year was the least amount of fun I've had in the game. Franchise is so stale and not a fan of the new additions they've included in lieu of improving franchise. I will suck it up and order soon, because I have an itch to try it out and hoping that basically taking last year off will lead to me enjoying it again.
