Schedule is accurate as I can get it through week 17 since we can't do 18 weeks on the PS2 version.




The coaching sliders has been change to 35/65 run/pass and defense is 100/0 towards run. Offense aggression it a 0 and defense is at 99 as it gives the best sim results I have found so far.

Also you will need to change which ever team you want to use to HUM.
Sliders will need need to be adjusted as they are on default.


Oh and to give credit where credit is do I will have to thank Rojo from Football Idiots as these rosters are based off of his updated roster for the PC version of Madden 08.

Most likely, you'll need to use either the DB editor or Naz'z Madden editor to extract the roster file into a cvs file to then import into the Madden 04 PC roster file.

I only have Madden 08 on the PC and go to Football Idiots to get roster files there for it, but I still play all of the PS2 versions of Madden and wanted updated rosters for it.

Madden 04 2021 Franchise - skins should a be more accurate some still might not be perfect, schedule is not this season schedule as I had issues with the schedule. Simmed the first season no hang ups so its ready to go.

Madden 05 2021 Franchise - File moved over from Madden 04 so skins should be about the same(*Skins for 05 fixed as 04 skin numbers differ than 05 skin numbers *). Updated schedule has no issues as it did in Madden 04. Simmed a full season to the next worked. If you plan on simming you will need to make sure that all team needs are fill otherwise during simming it will say insufficient funds. The roster was moved from 07 so I did not fill teams needs I left it as is.


These are the last files I am doing till after Christmas and the New Years so hope y'all enjoy.

I was wondering why I couldn't simulate past week 5 in Madden 2005, I'll be sure to try these out.

EDIT: I want to point out some players have wonky skin colors, Is this fixable? in some cases the players' faces don't match the rest of their bodies.

EDIT2: I've attached yet another file for non-Collector's Edition players.

EDIT3: Any way you can change the LA teams to their proper names? I know this is possible in franchises and not rosters, but still, would be a nice touch. Also, some retired players are in Free Agency it seems.

I didn't simulate a full season for either 04 or 05, but I will simulate 06 through a full season before I upload the file. I'll go back and try to simulate 04 and 05 through a full season and see if they crash and what part I messed up.

EDIT1: I have noticed the players have wonky skin colors as the file is taken from Madden 08 PC version and then been converted so 04 and 05 don't have the same skin and face numbers lined up like 08. 08 PC and PS2 and I do believe both versions of 07 as well and I think 06 applies to this as well have 3 textures the use:
1=light
2=medium
3=dark
but 04,05
1=light
2=tan
3=medium
4=dark
5=darkest
And with out knowing the which face ID is link properly to skin tones would probably take me a while to figure and correct them. it might be why most don't update below 07 or 06 as it gets a little more complicated.

EDIT3: I will change the names of the 2 LA teams, I don't think it will crash if I just change the names, changing their stadium without actually changing it in the database might cause it to crash so they'll still most likely play in the San Diego stadium. If there are retired player in FA it means I needed fillers to make the roster file player size the same as the roster file I edited over.
But if you can get me a list since I can't remember which players I have used to fill the gap, I can change their names and edit them some so they are different.

I will try and see if there is anything I can do about the skin color for Madden 04 and 05, I'll have to play with make a new player a little bit to see the differences in face ID Numbers and how they match up with skin colors.

I should have Madden 06 up tonight after I simulate the first season of it.

Hey WWEDX2007,

Figured out the problem with 04 and 05 with it crashing in franchise mode.

I updated the schedule while it was still in preseason schedule so it caused an issue.

Here is the updated and fixed files for Madden 04.

I'll finished fixing Madden 05 in the morning.

Oh and WWEDX2007, I simulated Madden 04 with the updated schedule and no issues, well just one; the freaking Patriots won the damn Superbowl over the 49ners.

So this file is good to go.

I was gonna report that I was experiencing even more weirdness in Madden 2005. at least 1 player on most teams has a blank contract (something that inevitably causes problems) and that when I scroll through teams sometimes I'll find free agents amongst the teams (but the player in the top right isn't the same as the one in the text box, very strange). As if their flag is still set to free agency but they're on the roster (their logo changes to the NFL logo instead of the team's logo as well)

I will test this out. and as for LA you don't need to change the stadiums as that's not really necessary. just change the text string and perhaps the announcer string.

As for the weird Free Agents, I sometimes see WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar in the list (which is strange, because he wasn't an FA until Madden 06) as well as a handful of players that still have portraits.

Yes you are right I saw the same thing before I left for work dis morning.
A few teams had 56 players some teams had the same punter in the 3 spots for it and he was also in the FA in 7 spots.
So I must have done something wrong with the roster file for the franchise mode so I am reworking now.
Hopefully it all goes well and I can get Madden 05 updated and back up so everyone can enjoy it.

Sadly I don't have your luck, the game crashes on Week 7. and the FAs are still in the rosters.

also, Chargers/Rams are still in San Diego and St. Louis.
