Pictures Still Not Updated... But Why?

Some of the action pictures were updated for some players, but none of the player profile pictures were updated. Why? NBA.com has nearly all of them.

It's as simple as copy and paste.

just out of curiosity, how can you feel bad about this instead of updating the actual players? what is the problem with computer generated profile?

I think 2k need to update players first bcoz regular season is starting tomorrow.

I dont get This! Years past this never been an issue, why cant they make the player portairts like they were long time ago? Older 2k games never had this stupid problem. Like Madden, Nba live, and older Nba 2k games, just go back to that route, It was fine.

I remember in one of the prievious NBA games ( about 10 years ago ) all players had white jerseys. That was the best soulution. I hate when after multiple trades there is a random coulored jerseys in roster.

Yup, that was the absolute best. At release, nearly every player had a profile picture and it was with a white shirt on so any player movement could happen without a player wearing the wrong jersey and looking out of place.

It doesn't appear to be that hard. Madden pulls this off every year with A LOT more players to cover than in the NBA. I don't know why 2K stopped doing that. Maybe laziness?

I really can’t believe people are complaining about stuff like this it’s ridiculous. I’m not gonna go and say people acting entitled but this is extreme in a sense where you literally can’t enjoy the game bc they don’t have an action shot of the players. What real difference is that gonna make in the game? If that is the type of stuff that immerses people in the game then idk but it’s really not that serious. I’m convinced that majority of the people complaining must not have even touched games or even know what a sega genesis, NES and other older consoles are bc you’d be very very appreciative of what we are being given now. If you don’t believe me, just go YouTube some old video games and try working with the options that were available to you. I’m sure when u turn on 2k after seeing those videos, newer gamers will be grateful.

So because the old consoles were limited we should be happy with whatever we get from 2K in 2019? lol Ok that’s pretty dismissive. “Back in my day the players were just squares without faces” doesn’t excuse the laziness and backwards steps of 2K today, get real man.

2K's handling of player pictures has regressed. Earlier games in this NBA series used to have accurate and clean player pictures. They now have this mixed mess of players where some have photos, others have no photo, and others have photos wearing the wrong jersey of the team they used to be on.

It's not an "entitlement" or a "grateful" thing, it's a 2K regressing in this area of the game, thing.

I know I’m in the minority, but I actually much much prefer seeing the player models instead of portraits. Any one else the same?

I would be fine if they went that route.

They should just pick a direction and be all in on that direction. None of this ugly mess where some players have 2 photos, others have no photos, and others have 1 photo.

I’m not saying that nor am I being dismissive. I just wouldn’t have my panties in a bunch over cosmetic things like that. Not tryin to ruffle any feathers here but enlighten me on why things like that are important when we know they’ll update it. Having patience sometimes is key too.

I get what you mean. I’m just saying it’s really not that serious when we know 2k is gonna update it. It’s a lot more to worry about in game than avatars or whatever for the players. That’s little things I barely even notice to be honest and I play all game modes. I’m just saying at some point when are we gonna just take things for what they are instead of complaining about the same things that end up getting fixed anyway? If we gonna complain, complaib about why player morale hasn’t been fixed or g league call ups/send downs and much more. We know at some point especially when the season starts they will update the photos is all I’m saying
