OS 2k20 Pro-Am/Rec Thread (5v5 play)

Surprised no one made a thread for Pro-Am/Rec players so I decided to make one.

Feel free to use this thread to discuss the gameplay, game mode, share knowledge, strategy, player build recommendations and recruit players. Also feel free to ask questions and hopefully someone answers them.

With that said what is most elite or good teams running this year on offense and defense? Is 5 out still a thing?

I never play so called best, or recommended builds, whichever game I play i play something that I like the most or that fits me best. As a guy with a defense first mentality whatever sport it is I created a 3&D SF. I don´t know how viable it is but I just reached 80 OVR and have 12 badges and thinking about starting to play in the Rec. Still haven´t played it so I am curious to see how it is going to look compared to previous years.

It's a good build once the ovr is up and you start getting badges. Still after most of my shooting ones, but very effective on both ends.

when the game first dropped. those randeez were horrendous. worse than any other year. because once they realized it wasnt about the win loss columns. they started trying to "get theirs".

But recently since this last gigantic patch and the fact it has messed up your my players if you have mutliple where it chooses to load up one particular guy no matter what, and how it freezes if you try to squad up with 5 of your friends before walking in. now we are having to go play in the Pro am gym as a team in order to play with the player we like. of course they match you up against a bunch of 50-3, 40-5 teams. and there has been a really bad lag in the pro am since that patch. so its rough in there.

So on the off times you do play a Rec game with some other player you choose, you have to go in alone with randeez. and those games at least for me have been highly entertaining and fun. guys actually knowing how to play the game. i just added like 10 guys to my list from 4 or so randee games.

Couldn't agree more!!! (Its so frustrating!!) Seems whenever we get to 4 players down to make a squad, we can never find a 5th person 🤦*♂️

In that situation now, lookin for a pg 🤔🤷*♂️

Yep 2k20. lol. I couldnt believe it either. I had to actually make fun of my own main friends group that i usually run with like ay yall..why am I balling with these randoms and its hit or miss with yall? lol.

but they actually said the same thing. the randoms for the most part (air quotes) havent been that bad since that last patch. and I'm not just talking about guys that are rated in the high 90s/badged to the heavens. just guys who know how to play the game of basketball. they dont waste a ton of time dribbling just cause. they will shake and bake when necessary. not just to do it. they hit the open man, make the extra pass. switch on defense... let me say that again. they will actually SWITCH on defense.

Damn, If only I was on PS4 this year.
